Latest Update

Fun fact: a circumcision costs $278 and some change. Luckily insurance covers that. Scotti and Pepper being boarded at the vet's office for a week while I was in the hospital? $160. And that's not covered by insurance.

Mega update, just in case you don’t follow me on any social media accounts: Theodore has arrived. Early Saturday morning (1/14), my mom drove me to the ER 20 minutes away, where they quickly decided to life flight me to a larger hospital in Des Moines, as I was showing signs of preeclampsia and Theodore needed to be delivered at a hospital with an NICU. Luckily, the doctors in Des Moines put me on an IV meds to keep my blood pressure a stable, and I was able to deliver Theodore vaginally. We are back home, but I am on bed rest for the next 3 weeks. I’m only allowed to leave the house for doctor’s appointments; due to my blood pressure status, and risk of seizures until it evens out, Linda has to drive Theodore and I to all of our appointments until I get an all-clear, which I’ve been told to not expect until mid-February at the earliest.

y'all, we are officially less then 4 weeks away from Teddy's arrival. Things in Meredith's world have gotten messy, and Teddy MUST stay in the womb until February hits, otherwise Meredith will have to pay for everything out of pocket (which is about $25k), so cross your fingers that 1) she gets everything sorted insurance wise, and 2) that Teddy stays put!

So, it looks like Teddy will be coming into the world via Iowa, and that we'll be sticking around through Early Spring. Linda of course is thrilled, I am of course going crazy with being cooped up in Linda's house all day. There is nothing I despise more than an Iowa winter. I've also discovered that lady/baby doctors don't like to take on patients so late in the pregnancy game, so we'll be running blind over here. Wish me luck, and mainly cross your fingers that I don't go crazy.
