Hunger-Free Vietnam
Hello everyone!
A majority of rural villages in Vietnam today are living reminders of the hardships and devastation of the Vietnam War. The lost lives, broken homes, disabilities from Agent Orange, and environmental damage have made it difficult for many countryside villagers to farm and provide for their families. With their lives and future shackled by poverty- just one day with food on the table means the world to them.
In August 2016, my family will be visiting Vietnam to distribute meals to underprivileged families in the province of Tra Vinh, Vietnam. We are currently in contact with local authorities, and have learned that as little as $10 USD can help families live TWO WEEKS hunger-free. With your help, we are hoping to raise $2,500 to expand our reach to 200 families that live below the national poverty level.
To offer some insight, $10 USD can buy a family 20lb bag of rice, 30 pack of dry noodles, 5lbs of salt, 5lbs sugar, and 2 bottles of Soy Sauce. These items may not seem like much, but they are rare commodities that many poor villagers do not come across often (if at all). No donation is too little or small, and 100% of your gift will go towards the purchase of food for these people.

Hello everyone! As Thanksgiving season is a time where we all reflect on the things and experiences we are grateful for, we just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who made Hunger Free Vietnam possible. This past summer, we were able to raise close to $3,000 and feed over 204 underprivileged families in Tra Vinh, Vietnam. In addition to families who received a month supply of food, 500 books and pens were also donated to a local school. This event would have not been possible without you.
