She's beautiful, smart, kind, good and she's graduating from high school!!!
Thea has never been out of the country. As her graduation gift, we want to take her to Italy and Ireland to connect with her heritage, put her 3 years of Italian Language class into practice and see the world with new eyes. We've been saving up (and so has she) and would like to ask family and friends to pitch in for the trip in honor of Thea's hard work.
As a component of her travel, Thea will be dedicating a chapter of her time abroad to volunteering at a farm for cultural and educational experience with emphasis in holistic, ecological and ethical approaches to farming, gardening, food and nutrition. She will also be documenting her experience through writing and photography and sharing her insights along the way.
For her entire elementary, middle and high school life, Thea has maintained straight A's! In addition to school, she attends the College Bound Program, works part-time and volunteering for a variety of outreach groups that promote peace, support good causes and seek to improve people's lives. Through the Let Up Program and Pedro Action League, she's helped in handing out food to the homeless, supported peers with special needs and developmental delays, organized fundraisers that benefited the American Cancer Society and local Police Station.
Please help us support Thea on her journey and stay tuned for updates on the location of her service work, the trip itinerary and where she'll be going to college when she gets back!
