So many of us have benefited from the gifts of Chris’s love, humor, music and kind heart. Now it’s our turn to give to him in this time of need. After suffering a stroke on April 21st, he has a long road of recovery ahead.

On Dec. 2, 2016 Chris lost his mother Carole unexpectedly. One of Carole’s worries was that Chris was still taken care of during this long healing process. Your generosity would greatly benefit Chris’s continuation of medical care.

Please continue to hold Chris and his entire family in your prayers, we will continue to keep you updated as his condition changes.

Thank you

Latest Update

Dear Friends and Family.... Chris has been out of inpatient rehab for over a month now and is doing extremely well. Both of Chris's gross and fine motor skills have improved rapidly and Chris is now able to even walk without the use of a cane, has been swimming every week and he continues to work on his strength. Chris's continued obstacle continues to be his speech as he has Aphasia. He is working hard in speech and our wonderful friends and family that continue to meet with him to play scrabble, sing, and just chat has been truly amazing. At this point, Chris's biggest motivation is to get back singing with his band, Lost Dog Found! We are confident that he will be back on stage jumpin' and wailin' which is exactly where he should be. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support, love and prayers.

"Chris is doing remarkably well! He has been home a week and continues to make progress. We even anticipate him not needing a cane to assist in walking within the next few weeks. Chris will begin intensive speech therapy next week and we hope to begin to see results from that as well as all the visits he is having from people. As we all know.....Chris loves to chat so this is important to help him recover! :) Please continue to keep us in your prayers and thoughts and if you see Chris....chat him up!!"

So happy to hear all this...cannot chat him up at this time, as we just got back from a trip, but we will definitely be at the fundraiser on June 12.

Dear Family and Friends, We are beyond thrilled to update you that Chris is doing so remarkable in Acute Rehab that his care team has made the decision to discharge him early! Chris is beyond happy and we are all so proud of how hard he has been working. Chris is now able to walk with some assistance, his right arm continues to get stronger every day and his speech is coming along. He will now be attending outpatient therapy but his recovery is going well and the entire team in encouraged that he will make a full recovery. Very welcome news indeed! The next few weeks will find us figuring out our new normal and we already anticipate needing a great deal of support. We will need LOTS of visitors!! As I look back over the last few weeks it certainly seems like a dream. Not sure how we would have gotten through it all without each of you and all the help that people have offered us. From the smallest smile to the meals, to the dump runs, to the household fixes, to the Ruby support to all

Great news!!! Looking forward to seeing you all hopefully at Family Camp in August!

Hello all! I am thrilled to let you all know that Chris's referral to the Acute Rehab in Vallejo was accepted! We are thrilled as this is one of the best centers in the state. We feel strongly that Chris will receive the very best care and have the greatest shot at a strong recovery here. It has been a long two weeks of ICU life and we are all breathing a sigh of relief. We will be putting together his plan and it will include the need for visitors!! We will be in touch as the plan becomes more clear. As always thank you for all the continued love and support! We truly do not know how we would have survived the last two weeks without you!

Thank you Caitie for keeping us all up to date on Chris's recovery. I look forward to paying Chris a visit this summer while we are back in the US. Hugs all around!

So glad to hear this. And we will be out in full force for the fundraiser for Chris, June 12. More information later.

"We are so thrilled and happy to report that Chris is doing better! While it has been a long 9 days, with numerous setbacks, Chris is now officially out of the critical state and nearly medically stable. This means we are now looking to have him transfer to an Acute Rehab Center. This is great as it will be boot camp for his rehabilitation. Chris has a long hard road ahead of him but with all the love and support surrounding him his recovery is sure to be strong. I know many of you continue to ask how you can help and we are still figuring that all out as well as when Chris can begin to have visitors. We will certainly have to lean heavy on our communities in the months to come so stay tuned!! I will be sure to begin asking for help! As well, thank you to everyone for the deliveries of food, pet supplies, fixing stuff around our house, donations and of course all the love

Caitie~thank you for these updates. I think of Chris & family often and it is nice to able to check in here and learn the progress. XX

Dear friends and family. Life sure is a roller coaster and we are on a doozy! We have had a hard couple of days and Chris remains in TICU. He has an amazing team surrounding him and they are taking excellent care of him. We have had encouraging signs even in the midst of a rough few days. Chris has been able to sing "Happy Birthday" , always manages to say his daughters name, Ruby, and was able to stand yesterday in PT! We are so blessed by the continuous outpouring of love and support. And we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Please keep up the prayers and good thoughts. ~ Christy & Family

Chris continues to improve every day! He will be moved to the Transitional ICU today and Christy will begin working with the team at CPMC to put together the rehabilitation plan. The family continues to be awed and amazed by the outpouring of love and support from family, friends and the many communities they are a part of. Words cannot and will not ever begin to express their gratitude.

Words cannot express our feelings for this event. We are praying for quick recovery, patience, and full healing.

The family is overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and well wishes. Chris remains in ICU but is improving and doctors are encouraged. Chris was even able to stand earlier this morning! He is undergoing a battery of tests and is being monitored closely. Again, the family thanks everyone for their love. Watch this page for more updates as available.
