We need your help supporting our son, Lou, through the last two cycles of his cancer treatment and rehabilitation. This past July, Lou was diagnosed with a choroid plexus carcinoma, an extremely rare and aggressive brain tumor affecting only a handful of children a year. He has bravely completed four of six rounds of high dose chemotherapy, which required long hospitalizations and separation from his identical twin brother, West. To ensure his healthy future, we need help financing a handful of procedures, co-pays, special testing, rehabilitation and child care fees. Huge thank yous to our friends who saw us (financially and emotionally) through the first phase; advance gratitude to all of you for getting us to the finish line. May all of our families and loved ones be happy, healthy and free! Love and Twin Magic xo Alexa & Ian, Lou & West xo

Latest Update

To our dear Plumfund supporters. A quick heartfelt last note to update and thank you. As I write this, both boys are home, healthy and napping in their cribs. It has been two weeks since we came home from Lou's final round of treatment. He sailed through! We are exhausted and exhilarated. The last ten months (diagnosis, surgery, recovery, chemo and stem cell therapy) was a waking dream. What we will remember is Lou's strength, West's patience and trust, and the incredible support of our family, friends and complete strangers. We had hoped, being overachievers (!), that we would be able to thank each and every one of you for your gift. This has proven unrealistic since we never expected to have had almost 500 supporters! So, to close this chapter, please accept this most genuine, love filled last thank you from us to you. Thank you for helping our family through a most terrible time. As we rebuild, know your love continues to see us through. Happy spring xoxo

This makes my really happy :) xx

Friends! Happy New Year! A quick update to thank our new supporters and to send hugs to all our friends. Lou is more than half way through round 5 of 6 and he is doing very well all things considered. We are constantly amazed at how brave he is and in awe at his physical and emotional strength. West has been a trooper, too, he's pretty sick of all the comings and goings and we know he misses Lou! Hopefully we will be home by next week, resting and fattening Lou up for HIS LAST ROUND OF CHEMO! We look forward to thanking each of you personally for your love; in the mean time while we navigate this crazy time, please accept this note of love from us to you. More soon and wishing you all an incredible start to 2015! xoxo

Friends, we are so close to the New Year, and we can't thank you enough for your sweet giving. We have enjoyed an extended time at home with Lou and we are gearing up to begin Round 5 of 6, a long three week stay, but so much closer to the finish line! Thank you for your gifts, old and new friends alike. Due to the overwhelming response (which we will never understand or stop being amazed by!) it feels right to close the Plumfund as the clock strikes 2015. It is because of your love that we can start 2015 fresh with our focus 100% on Lou's recovery. It will be a tough couple of months but you have helped lift a huge burden. We promise to check in, and to thank each of you personally as soon as time allows. Until then, all our best wishes, love, light and twin magic for a wondrous New Year. Let's do this! Hugs and kisses xo Alexa, Ian, Louie and West -- (PS. Apologies for the PayPal technical glitches (thanks for staying the course!) & thank you to our pals at Plumfund for hosting us!)

Friends, we want to thank our new supporters and send continued hugs to Lou's circle of love. Thank you all for sharing with your circles (thanks @ryanstar!) and sending new angels our way. This past week we have been home together and it has been heaven. The best Christmas present besides your unbelievable support? We are home for Christmas! We will be lying low feasting on treats from friends and holding West and Lou close. Because of your overwhelming love we have decided to close the Plumfund right before the clock strikes 2015! More about that soon. Enjoy your time with your loved ones, and know all of you, close friends and new friends alike, you are a part of our family now and we raise our glasses to you, and Lou! Merry Christmas! Enjoy this pic of the boys cruising together down the city streets. This week, for the first time, West said, "Lou-lou." xoxo #twinmagic

Oh my what a beautiful gift! Lou-Lou. So precious. Love to you both!

Sweet friends, we are overwhelmed and still in a state of shock (!) by your love and the incredible response to our Plumfund. Day 4 brought a new wave of support (thank you @stylelikeu and pals for sharing our story) and our hearts are full. You have relieved a huge burden, one that no family should be faced with. We are beyond blessed that we can focus on getting Lou safely to the end of this ordeal. Thank you for opening your hearts to our family. We send beams of light to you and yours this holiday season. xoxo A+I+W+L

Friends, we are shocked, touched and in total disbelief that as a community you helped us surpass our goal of 20K in less than 48 hours! 24K and counting means we can focus 100% on supporting Lou through the end of his treatment and recovery, much of which remains unknown. We can not thank you enough for your generosity. You are our family. Tonight we will sleep soundly knowing there really are angels here on earth. More soon, and love and light on this special night (Hanukkah for many of you!) xoxoxo A+I+W+L
