"Stand Up Against Cancer For Lori"
One day last month our beloved Lori Jo was having a series of bad migraine headaches. She went to the ER and was kept by doctors for further testing. After several hours it was discovered that Lori Jo had experienced a stroke resulting in severe bleeding on her brain. She was immediately admitted to the James Cancer Hospital to undergo surgery to remove the tumors. Lori Jo would spend the next 10 days in the hospital for treatment and recovery.
During her hospital stay Lori Jo underwent extensive brain surgery with one of the top neurosurgeons in the country. Unfortunately, her doctor was not able to remove both of the tumors due to the size and location in the brain.
On Monday, May 9, 2016 Lori Jo received an update concerning the biopsy of her brain tumors. Lori Jo has been diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer. The news has been very heart-breaking, but Lori Jo and her family have decided to fight this courageous battle against cancer! They greatly need your help as they rally around Lori Jo during this difficult time.
Over the next several months Lori Jo will be receiving daily radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Lori Jo's parents, Larry and Margie Kaser have temporarily moved to Columbus to take Lori Jo to and from her medical appointments. In addition, an apartment closer to the James Cancer Hospital has been rented so Lori Jo can be with her husband Jason, parents, and only daughter, Livia. This is also close to her sister Kim, and brother Scott.
There will be many medical and non-medical expenses incurred over the next several months for Lori Jo's care and treatments.
Insurance will not cover everything, and additional support from family and friends will go a long a way in helping Lori Jo and her family during this difficult time. Funds raised to "Stand Up Against Cancer for Lori" will help pay for travel expenses to and from medical treatments, for home health care assistance, and other non-covered medical expenses.

My lovely radiation techs and me. I rang the bell for the end of my radiation treatments and I'm on to my next challenge... 6 months of chemo. Thankfully I have July off before I start chemo again. I get my next MRI in August to see if my tumors have come back. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers! Love to you all.

I am thinking about you everyday Lori, and I continue to pray daily for you!!
Thank you to my husband Jason, daughter Livia, Mom Kaser, Dad Kaser, sister Kim, brother in law Brian, neice Autumn, nephew Conner, brother Scott, sister in law Mary, neice Katy, nephew Zach, and nephew Kevin for standing by me in this fight! I also want to thank everyone that has donated to my medical fund. So many friends and family members have sent cards and gift cards, made food for me, visited me, cried with me, prayed for me, and blessed me in so many ways. Thank you to all of you. I'm a fighter and I'm gonna beat this!!!

Beautiful cancer survivor circle on the sidewalk of the James.
This is what cancer looks like. Some days I could cry a river but that would only cause me to drown faster. So... stand with me and for me because this is a #Fight for your life.

My Macy's Easton Salon and Spa family had this quilt made for me and generously contributed to my medical fund! I spent 13 years at Macy's Easton salon and I'm so grateful for all of the memories! Thank you! Love to all of you!

Still smiling... I'm more tired since radiation
Just because I have cancer doesn't mean I can't smile! I have good days and bad but I'm grateful to be alive. My husband, daughter and dogs keep the joy in my life when hope seems distant.
