The loveable Hercules aka beefy was caught being a dog. Police were in the neighborhood and didn't take the two posted beware of dog signs serious and welcomed themselves into the back yard. Hercules was standing next to me when two officers appeared. Hercules stayed still and I told the officer not to come closer. Instead he drew his gun. By the grace of God he did not fire but Herc bit one of the officers on the hand. We did not get a ticket, citation or notice to appear. The officer didn't call for medical and was not bleeding. Sadly Herc went directly to an animal shelter for a 10 day quarantine. Because we were not given any documentation it took 4 days just to track him down and make sure he was still alive. Utah is not a pit bull friendly state and we were so terrified for his life. Hercules has done his time and is ready to come home. Unfortunately 10 days is a long stay and the bill is a lot larger than we currently have the funds for. Friday is supposed to be a large thunderstorm which scares poor beefy and we are sure he would rather hide in his blankets with his stuffed monkey instead of being alone behind bars. Please help us get this curious boy home.
