What do you do when you get a call in the middle of the night to come pick up a baby? You get up and you go. Which is exactly what Rachel and Robert did when the call came in. Suddenly they were the emergency foster parents to a 9 week old. Baby "E" came with two dirty outfits that were miles too big, and a can of formula that was given them on the spot.

Latest Update

Erik is happy and healthy and weighed in at 14.5lbs this week! Such a wonderful thing to see after how under-nourished he had been. But little Erik still needs our support. His permanent foster placement has not come though yet, which means his WIC, and many other resources including his medical, are not available to Rachel and Robert. Rachel is now 36 weeks pregnant and has been put on bedrest, and Robert has had to take leave from his job to take care of her and the kids and household. Any little bit helps, please donate and help out this amazing family! Blessings!

Everyone around Rachel and Robert have been pulling together to see to baby Erik's immediate needs of diapers, clothing, crib, etc. While Rachel and Robert adapt to this surprise blessing, Rachel is 33 weeks pregnant and they are about to welcome a second baby into their home. With love and grace, Rachel and Robert are looking forward to long term fostering and hopefully adopting baby Erik, so they can provide him with the safe and loving family he deserves. While they are overjoyed with Erik being with them, we are asking for your help gathering funds for complying with the foster program regulations, food, clothing, and all the various sundries that a baby requires. Any amount is appreciated and will help this couple continue to do a beautiful thing: raise a child.
