Make Your Own!
Fellow car lovers, and to the wives that have to put up with it, you must understand the desire of making your car, THE car that works for you. My husband loves old school cars, music, and the way of life! When we met, he indulged in his lowriders, and honestly, I couldn't stand them lol....However, I love him, and I've learned more about older cars as we've been together. We have two boys, now 10 & 12 yrs old, a dog, a mortgage, 3 cars we're paying on, and a lot else that makes it difficult for my husband to truly enjoy his passion. One of those 3 cars we are paying on is his beautiful 1964 Impala. Fortunately, we were in the position to get a loan for the vehicle, and he was thrilled!....and, then it sat in the garage for over a year unmoved. Once we got it home, mechanical problems with the car showed themselves, and he couldn't drive it. With throwing some money here and there, whenever we could, he tried fixing it, but was unsuccessful. Fast forward over that year, and finally with more money we got it to run! He still has some concerns with the mechanics of this old car, and with two young boys, sometimes he worries with them riding with him. He is an amazing, very involved, and considerate husband and father, and I wish I could give him a show car in mint condition, but I can't. He is asking for an L S 1 Motor to put in his Impala, so a lot of his concerns with the car can go away, and overall just improve the running of his love. We appreciate any help anyone is willing to give. The start of this fund is my Christmas gift to him, and I'm hoping by next Christmas he can get his motor!
