For years my dad was told he wasn't sick enough to receive a liver transplant, that is until it was to late. Now all we are hearing is "Your to sick, you probably will not survive the surgery, we can not do a transplant surgery on you in this condition." We were devastated. Then we heard about medical tourism. After being turned down again by 3 different hospitals overseas we finally heard some good news. A hospital in INDIA agreed to preform the lifesaving surgery my father desperately needs. My uncle has graciously volunteered half of his liver so my dad can have the chance to live. Here comes the tricky part. Our family has insurance but this procedure is definitely "out of network" :) Every single dime will be out of my fathers pocket. The flight to India for him, my mother and my aunt and uncle, surgery, hospital stay, food, and hotel stay for at least 3 months for all 4 people. We do not want the gift of a new liver to burden my aunt and uncle one bit so my father is paying for all of his expenses. Please help us send my dad and his life giver to India to save his life. Cash or Check donations can be mailed to:David Stamps Fund C/O Courtni Satterlee 3002 Augusta Hills St, Springfield, MO 65803
