As many of you know, my father was diagnosed with a rare form of melanoma that the doctors believe started internally and not from sun exposure. It has been a long summer but dad is a fighter and has undergone several "immunotherapy" treatments and brain radiation for the 4 tumors that have metastasized to his brain, only weeks after being diagnosed. Both of my parents have been amazing role models thru this process- staying strong, positive and doing everything with grace. Not once have either said "why me." They just take each day and it's challenges as they come. Dad has started a new chapter in his fight and I am asking for all of us to support him as he starts his next round of treatment as it has been determined that the first immunotherapy drug has failed- but a new drug, with clinical studies showing promise, has been recently approved , which dad has started. He is already showing some encouraging results-- but as many of you unfortunately know -cancer treatment is expensive (the first 4 infusions are $120,000) and insurance only pays a part. Plus you have very expensive scans, travel and additional pharmaceutical expenses - so I am asking for help. Dad would never ask for help from those that care about him so I am doing it for him. Please consider any donation- every dollar helps him and mom in their fight to find a path to dad's recovery. Many of you have already donated thru our wedding gifts, as we donated all $3000 to him- we thank you! For those who have not contributed yet we are asking for your help. Go Bob - kick cancers butt!!!
