MJ - Determined Micro-Preemie
MJ was born almost four months early weighing 1 pound and 2 ounces. Immediately after his birth, the doctor gave him a less than 5% chance of survival. Thankfully, God had much different plans for His little miracle and MJ is now 35 weeks old and weighs 4.2 pounds. His mighty little spirit has defied the odds, however he still has a 'long road' ahead of him.
As baby MJ continued to get stronger, his mommy started to get weaker. A mass was found on her lung 5 days after his arrival. During all this daddy was working all day and spending his evenings splitting his time between MJ and mommy. Bless his heart. :-)
Due to her illness, mommy was not able to return to work as scheduled. MJ and mommy's medical bills have rapidly accrued, along with household bills. While continuing to build their testimony, this amazing family is in need of financial support.
This site has been created by lots of people that love MJ and his family. We are praying the kindness of others can help ease the financial burdens of caring for this beautiful gift named Marqus Jr. They are such an inspiration with the level of faith they have shown throughout this journey. Latest Update
Since the last update MJ has kept everyone on their toes. He was set to come home, however he needs just a lil more care before coming home to keep mommy and daddy on their toes. :-). He has been transferred to Cooks for a few more tests and observation, but will be heading home very soon. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. Baby MJ was set to come home this week.. Unfortunately his Stage 3 ROP (degenerative eye condition) caused him to stress and stop breathing. So, Dr say another 5 days amd his feeding tube is back in for now. Prayers are always appreciated. Peace and blessings
