Graduation is almost here! Michael is a Smart, Strong, and Charitable Young Man! He has an Old Soul. He is Quiet by Nature, but also a Leader by Character. He comes from Humble Beginnings but offers Much to his Fellow Man. Mike is an avid reader, which will carry him far. He is great with technology, both in coding and hardware. Currently Michael works at Taco Bell, since he was 16, he is also a Sales and Procurement Agent for the Family Business. He works hard, but more importantly, Smart too! More Bang for the Buck, he is very productive! He plans to start his Adulthood with an Electrical Apprenticeship this Summer. He'll be expected to buy Thousands of Dollars in Tools and provide a Travel Fund Up Front! I desire to see this young man with that start-up fund! Rest assured, a graduation gift to this Great Fella will be used very wisely! Read his updates to know more about my Nephew!

Latest Update

Sunset on the Ouachita River. The tranquil nature of an evening wade. Raised on the River, Michael adheres to that nature. There is a lot to be said about the calm brought forth by a oneness with nature. It will lead him well into adulthood. Pictured with his Best Friend Blake Carlie.

Graduation is 3 days away and this Young Man has secured an Electrical Apprenticeship! He's going to need money for tools, work clothes, and enough start-up funds for 3 weeks of work on the road. He starts work 2 days after Graduation! That's a lot to say for his ambition and drive! Most graduates will spend their Summer looking for work or preparing for college. This Fella has secured his career path! Good Job Michael!

Good Times, Fond Memories! This was our first trip to SDC and Branson! Mike was 14 and had a ball!

I really love the very few pictures we share together. It's rare to get Michael in the mood to stand for group shots. Fond Memories all the same. He is Cherished and so are the memories...

Michael turning Four! I first met Mike when he was 3 years old, this is the first Birthday I got to spend with him. How time flies! He will be 19 this coming August and a Graduate of Malvern High School. Mikey was a cute, energetic, inquisitive kiddo, but also smart and quiet, but not shy. He always had a million questions about the world. I feel lucky to know him!

SUMMER IS COMING!

Why is this my Favorite picture of Michael? Well, it's the fond memories that follow the photo. Michael was about 8 years of age, it was the 4th of July, he had a package of bottle rockets in each hand. The moment was pure joy for him and me! He was just a happy little boy living in the moment! That adorable smirk helps a lot too! Great Fond Times for this Old Man!

Awesome picture by Joshua Baldwin!

LOKI and His Boy, Michael, enjoying the bounty of the River. A quick stroll and a nice swim. Michael loves his doggy and his Doggy loves Michael. During the Summers you will often seen them at the River Walk for a stroll, playing fetch in the water, or a nice dip on a hot day. Pictured here is Michael at 14 years old and LOKI at 1 and a half years old.

The LOKI Dog Really loves his Boy!

Look at that Snazzy Dressed Young Fella! Way back when Mike was 11, he spent a day at work with me. Lots of fun at Yellow Cab! He got to see what a professional career is like, how to manage hundreds of people and assign detailed work assignments to 7 departments. I let him make decisions that day that few kids get to do! Lot's of Fun all the way around!

Michael has had a very strong Work Ethic, as early as 11 years old. Mowing yards for money. His first business. Here, Michael is giving his little sister, Jasmine, a ride on the lawn mower. Michael and Blake still do yard work for extra cash. Motivation and Focus, these Guys know how to hustle for their dough!

"Come Hear, Little Boy!" Michael has always been beloved by all of my pets. His first encounter with my pet family was with Congo the African Gray... Congo always wanted Mike to stick his fingers in Congo's cage... Michael quickly learned it to be a trick, Congo would bite him, then laugh, and laugh! Mike's mischievous smile would always manifest every time Congo called him.

Mikey's first trip to the Buffalo River, Eleven years old. It was a weekend vacation for us and a great time! Michael did great learning to paddle a canoe! We got to enjoy each other's company and the bounty of Nature's Gifts! As a nice gift, I put Mike on my cell phone plan soon afterwards.

We are all very proud of Michael for being a 4th Year JROTC Student. Mike has been very active in the program, currently he's been working on the soundtracks for the JROTC Banquet. A few days ago he spent hours burning MP3s to disc for the Dance.

Tonight is Michael's last Military Ball!

So, Little Michael, back when he was still afraid of Thunder Storms. I first met Mike in Tupelo, MS. His parents came down to help me work on Sonic Restaurants. Michael was a quiet little fella, but he spoke often to me. Lots of questions about the world. One evening, sitting on my lap, a storm was rolling in, he was afraid. I explained to him about thunder and lightening, hows and whys. From that day forward, he was no longer scared. Our friendship began right about them.
