Make Your Own!
Hi! My name is Cheney Brinkley. I am a student at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL. I am planning on attending the summer Clinic Abroad program with some of my friends and classmates. This is a missions style trip that brings chiropractic care to those who have little to no access to any kind of health care. The trip is to either India or Fiji and will cost around $7,000. WOW! Crazy, right? That may seem like a lot and it is, but it has to cover many different things for the trip! So, the thing is we can take out more loans to cover the cost, but looking at the loans we have already taken out, I am trying not to make that pile any bigger than it has to be! Any contribution will help out costs and will be greatly appreciated!
During the trip, we will be going to schools and villages to help the children as well as to local hospitals and rural clinics that have limited resources. We will gain clinical experience out in the field that we may not receive in our own clinic at home. We will be working with many different patients helping and trying to provide them with free chiropractic care, learning about the new culture around us, and meeting new people. We are going to gain something that we may never experience or see again!
I have never been able to study abroad and am looking forward to this opportunity to help those in need! Thanks in advance for all the help and well wishes for this trip!
