I teach in the education unit of a secure residential facility for boys in the juvenile justice system. About once a year, the students, teachers, and staff create a large diorama to help illustrate and understand historical events. Last year we made a WWI trench scene. The kids repainted G.I.Joe toys to look like soldiers of that era, set up and lighted scenes, took photos, and edited those photos into movies. It was great.

This year we want to learn about the Vietnam War.

One prop we simply cannot recreate on our own is the iconic Huey chopper from that period. To get one in the right scale will cost about 100 bucks.

Anything we raise past the price and the shipping will go toward other diorama supplies, paints, and brushes.

Thank you.
