We are trying to raise $3,000 to support Tech High Robotics team. Technology High School is located on the campus of Sonoma State University and they are participating in the Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) program, which involves building an underwater ROV to complete challenging, real-life tasks. The successful production of an ROV involves a variety of skills, including CAD modeling, machining, programming, electronics, fabrication, financial management and public relations. The technical aspects of robotics, engineering and problem solving are important skills in 21st century society. Tech High Robotics strives to incorporate those skills in a relevant way by providing programs that further the abilities of local students.
