It's June 1976. Cambridge, Ohio.
A 21-year old Marcia Betts looks up from her cash register at Penny Fare and recognizes a familiar face approaching her checkout line.
Her friend on the register next to her playfully whispers, “Hey, that cute guy is in your line again!”
As he approaches, her heartbeat quickens and butterflies begin to flutter in her stomach.
“Hi,” she says to the young man.
He replies back, “Hi.”
Small talk ensues, as she rings up his Pepsi and Conns potato chips.
Finally, she builds up the courage to ask him his name.
“My friends call me Jake.”
And the rest, as they say, is history.

Ty and I are very proud to announce that on December 5, 2016, Mom and Dad will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary.
Let me repeat that...40 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!! Such an amazing accomplishment.
Everyone knows that Mom and Dad would give you the shirt off their back if you asked. They are two of the most generous, loving people we will ever know.
Because of that, we feel they deserve something in return. They are trying to plan an anniversary trip to Hawaii in April 2017. We will be surprising them with some funds for their trip and if you'd like to contribute as well, please use this site as a starting point.
