Aloha everyone!
This year is a big year for my parents! They will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on June 30, 2019! I'm lucky enough that they will be visiting me in New York City for this wonderful occasion and I'm surprising them with a small party!!
As many of you know, this last year has been a rough one for my parents and I. After 10 years on the kidney transplant list, we received the devastating news that my father will never be able to receive a kidney transplant and will have to continue with daily dialysis for the rest of his life. But if you've met my parents, you know that instead of dwelling on the negative, they (and myself) want to focus our energy on the positive!
No gifts are necessary for this gathering, however, many of you have asked if you could send a little something in case you can't make it. Last year, my parents visited Hawaii for the first time and fell in love with the islands. As my gift to them, I'm surprising them with a trip to Kauai in 2020. If you feel so inclined, you can contribute here and surprise them with dinners and excursions for the young couple while in Hawaii :) Your note will be included in the card.
