The Bean's Gap Fund
Hello all!
Sean and Jaime are expecting a girl in late August and decided to start a gap fund for her.
What's a 'gap fund'? Well, to fill in the gaps and help ensure she has all she needs to grow up safe and healthy. This covers everything from supply short falls to future educational funding.
It's the perfect gift if you don't know what to get but want to do something. Any amount helps.
Sean is active duty Navy and recently began his tour on Shore duty. While that means he'll have more time at home, it comes with a pay decrease. Jaime is hard working and self-employed Personal Trainer and Weightlifting Coach. It's a dream job, however it does not offer any sort of maternity leave and the state of Washington does not offer any short term disability for new mothers. So, anything to help fill the gap for supplies, etc, during the first few weeks will be very much appreciated and can give Jaime some time to heal. Any excess raised of goal will be saved for her future. Thanks!

Wahoo!!! THANK YOU EVERYONE! We've surpassed our goal! We can go about getting the final things we need to bring her home, and Jaime gets a some extra time to heal. We couldn't be more grateful for the help! It's a huge reliefe to know we'll have some more time with our girl at home.

We wanted to take some time to update everyone. This Saturday, friends threw an excellent baby shower for us. We had a great time and The Bean ended up with many great things to help us welcome her home. There are still a few gaps we need to fill, but we have ensured almost 4 days of Maternity Leave at this point, which is very reassuring! Thanks to all our current donors and feel free to spread the word! I'm hoping for a good 2 weeks with her, but I'm grateful for every day. Thanks!
