Make Your Own!

Dear Ones,
We're so grateful to have you in our community of care and support! We set up this fund to channel the enthusiasm of those who love us, toward what we'd find to be the most useful type of support, during this exciting (yet complicated) time.
We've already received numerous gifts of smaller items, many of which came through sharing and recycling in our community. We're grateful we can do the 'baby stuff' in a largely sustainable way, and that many of the basics are already checked off (and that our apartment is quite full of baby gear!)
Our 'wish list' now mainly consists of a few larger items, and also opportunities for professional support, which we've found invaluable throughout the pregnancy. Input from some wonderful pregnancy care-givers has been making our experience one of better health, less stress, and richer understanding of our experience. We hope to have continued access to that support through the birth time and postpartum months.
Any supportive funds we receive here can be used toward: doula (birthing coach) fees; actual birth expenses; birth class costs; sessions with Emily's wonderful exercise coach and prenatal acupuncturist; some technical baby gear (like a monitor); and a few non-hand-me-down items we have yet to acquire, like nursing supplies.
We're so grateful to have your support! While it's delightful to get more books or onesies, at this point, it's actually more practical to receive contributions in this somewhat non-traditional manner. We look forward to sharing more (photos! stories! stories of Grey fainting!) after the big day in January. Thank you for all your caring, and we hope to see you all in person at some point this year!
Love,
Emily and Grey
