So there's this thing I just learned about called "4th Trimester" and it involves the recovery of the mama after baby arrives. In Ayurvedic medicine they say, "42 days for 42 years", which means the first 42 days after childbirth impact the next 42 years of life. The Cuarantena is 40 days of care, where the mama gets fed, massaged, herbs, steam baths, binding session and a little respite (night nurse or doula) so that she can enter the world again healthy and energized. That's what this fund is for. We are so lucky to have a village and know that you all will be there with us to nourish our bodies and souls as we need it, but this is for a some extra care that we may need to start off this amazing journey with our little one. If you don't want to contribute, but know of something that we would love postpartum, we'll believe you and will be excited to have another tool or resource for the 4th trimester. Thank you!! <3
