Make Your Own!
Started by: Ethan Huynh
Dear friends, this year instead of having to spend money on throwing a grand birthday party, I wanted to make it a year about giving. Instead of receiving gifts for any occasion this year (birthday, Christmas, any reason for celebration), I find it more meaningful to have your love and generosity turned towards supporting a cause. We easily can spend over a hundred dollars each on food and drinks and things no one will really remember but your support for me will never be forgotten.
So I ask in advance for your generous donations to help me support the various charities and organizations that work towards making the world a better place. I want to remember turning 40 as a year that I was able to donate more than I have before.
There are various charities and organizations that I donate to every year. See below and visit their online site to learn more about each of them. Specify one with your donation and I will allocate your gift towards that purpose. If you feel strongly for a cause not mentioned, please let me know and I will consider it as well.
To make this effort even more profound, I will match dollar for dollar each $100 dollars given to the cause. This fundraiser will continue throughout end of the year. I will post and update milestones reached along with personal notes of gratitude.
