HELP!!! Please donate for the rescue, care, rehabilitation & training of a dog who survived hell , saved from a NC kill-shelter was mysteriously missing an eye, had the tip of his tail cut off, facial bruising, cuts, ear infections, very dirty and showing obvious signs of being neglected, was not house-broken, did not walk well on leash, rescource guarding etc... at the shelter nobody claimed him.

We rescued him... we had him to specialists for the socket missing an eye... nueter, vaccines etc sll done, and he was lovingly fostered, housebroken, socialized and trained for several months before being adopted.  (A year ago).

I am angry & my heart is broken, Hunter was adopted by someone who said they’d always love him BUT they failed to take him to required obedience, stopped his anti-anxiety medicine, and failed to crate him or do other things that were stipulated in writing at time of adoption, things put there so that he would have a good life... AND Recently decided they didnt want him anymore!!!

This is so sad, Hunter has become anxious, stressed & has behavior issues... behavior issues he never had or that he had long-ago overcome when I was fostering him.

In addition, I discovered a NEW PROBLEM (after i obtained & reviewed his adopter’s veterinary records)... Vet reports he was no longer on his Prozac! Prozac helped him!!! It was agreed he would stay on that after being adopted!!! The adopter’s vet had also recommended a professional trainer, but notes say “owner would think it over” (this was also in his adoption contract that he continue with training)...

and It upsets me beyond words to see that he has now developed a pattern of being aggressive toward veterinarian (to the point where they prescribed sedatives should be taken before the visit and Muzzle was needed for him during visits!!! This was never the case, When i was fostering him we went to the vet many times and he was always awesome)!

HOW ON EARTH could somebody adopt a dog, say they love him & then totally ignore all the contracted adoption terms AND TO TOP IT OFF just prior to labor-day weekend tell our rescue they were moving on the 31st and that Hunter couldn’t go with them; they said wanted to rehome him themselves or they said there were plenty of shelters that could take him in immediately and give him the care he deserved!!! NO WAY!!! It’s states in the contract adopter NOT PERMITTED to rehome, give to another rescue or shelter; If an adoption doesn’t work out dog must come back to us!

We made it clear that it was against the contract for her to re-home or take him to a shelter, and told her to hold onto the dog that we would somehow find a way for us to get him back. Being a foster home based rescue there’s never openings that fast to take in a dog!!! Miracles happened, good people volunteered to help Hunter.

Now, Thankfully Hunter is back with us and we or asking for donations for him. Hunter’s rescue, care, and a professional evaluation and needed corrective training funding is needed.

We at BRVT believe that a dog needs an competent and dedicated person who understands that if you adopt or foster a dog, you’re all they have, and you can either make or break a dogs chance at having a happy life or life at all. .. (So, if you wanna adopt or foster please take heed to your written agreement and follow the rescue & veterinarian’s suggestions).

I love this dog, and want him to have a long happy stress-free life... I want him to get the help, training, love & structure he needs...

Please be a Hero for Hunter and give generously now

Thank you so much.
