Aki Jones, graduate of Fordham University and former NFL player for the Washington Redskins, mentor and international coach sadly and unexpectedly lost his life on October 12th, 2014 in Miami, Florida while working as an account executive for the Miami Dolphins. Upon reading up on his diaries of his time coaching football in Poland and recalling on my memories with him as my best friend in college and beyond, Aki's life work wasn't finished. He had big plans to help the future of the game, to encourage children to dream big and pursue the sport and champion this new opportunity for the underprivileged. Through the Aki Jones Memorial Foundation that I am starting, along with his mother Vernette Steel, and best friend and teammate Tad Kornegay, we can make his vision a reality. Imagine an under privileged school receiving a new field or equipment. Imagine ones dream to go to college becomes a reality? The Aki Jones Memorial Foundation is going to exist to live Aki's mission.
