Hi friends,
This June, a team from the Bridge Church will be traveling to South Africa to join missionaries, Rich and Lynn Hodge. We feel so blessed to have this amazing opportunity and privilege to go on this mission to share the love of Christ. We will be staying with Rich and Lynn while serving various communities in Cape Town. Whether it's people, culture, language, or religion, Cape Town is an incredibly diverse city, and we pray that we'll be able to shine the love of Jesus Christ while we are there.
The ministries we'll be involved in are: building homes, creating a vacation bible school for children, organizing fun & educational events for women, and serving meals to children in need. We are essentially there to love on them and build them up with God's love.
We are excited to see what God has in store for our team and the people we'll meet during our missions. We fully understand that our time in South Africa isn't long enough to change lives instantly, however, we are hopeful that through getting to know the people and building relationships, seeds will be planted.
We also fully understand that we cannot do this on our own, so we humbly ask you for your support as we prepare for our missions. Our goal is to raise $15,000 for our trip - funds will go towards travel costs and supplies needed for the communities we'll be serving. Most importantly, however, we ask you for your prayers. Please pray for our team - for safety during the trip, for team unity, for courage as we step out of our comfort zone to serve others, and lastly, for a servant's heart that is humble and sensitive.
So help us carry out the Great Commission. As it says in Matthew 28:19-20, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”, help us to go and make disciples in South Africa.
Thank you so much for your prayers, love and support!

Sincerely,
The Bridge Church
