As the head boys' basketball coach at Pittsburgh Perry High School, I am looking to continue the great traditions that have come before me. One of those traditions is the pride the school and North Side community feels with a great basketball team.
Last year was my first year as the head boys' basketball coach, and I was humbled by the number of people who supported our team. Our entire team was able to get shoes, backpacks, travel sweatsuits, and shooting shirts.
This season, I want to get our players the same team gear.
We are also playing at Sharon and at Bishop Guilfoyle in Altoona, so I would also like to raise money for a coach bus for those trips and for food for the guys.
Unfortunately, we do not have a boosters program and most of our players do not have the means to pay it out of pocket. This is why I am depending on the community to rally beside our players!
For each player to get a pair of team shoes, a backpack, a shooting shirt, and a travel suit that they can keep is $200. Please consider sponsoring one of our players!
Each person who supports the team will have your name put on an anchor that will be on a poster hanging in the gym!
