ELITE for Young Ladies in Fashion
Shortly, I will travel to Dakar, Senegal to help my mentee Fadieye empower up to 50 young ladies with training focused on digital transformation, entrepreneurship and leadership. Joining me will be Sharesa Y. Alexander who will teach the young ladies the legal aspects of running a successful business. Thus far, we have received sponsorships and grants that cover the majority of the program costs. We are asking for your support to help us close the gap that will allow us to successfully implement the inaugural Entrepreneurship Leadership Information Technology Exchange (ELITE) for Young Ladies in Fashion on June 25-29, 2018 at the Centre D'appui à l'initiative Féminine in Dakar, Senegal. Would you please consider donating $20 or more by the end of the day on June 20th to help us bridge the final gap? Tax-deductible receipts will be provided in mid July.

Hello Everyone, We made it to Dakar, Senegal on Friday and we have been nonstop in preparation of ELITE's launch. We even got an opportunity to attend Dakar's largest fashion show where we recruited additional fashion industry speakers to drop in throughout the week :) Thus far, we've been having an amazing time with the young ladies and one young man. ( He was so passionate about the fashion industry and shared that this is only program that he could find that provides this information in his area. There was no way we could turn him away. ) We're have engaged with the US Embassy, CAFI, and West African Research Center. Each day has been a marathon. I wanted to pause to THANK YOU again for you role in helping our students in Dakar.

*** Last night, we reached our $1,000 milestone!*** THANK YOU for supporting the empowerment of young ladies in Dakar, Senegal. We are now working towards raising $375 within the next 24 hours. With this amount, we will reach our next milestone of $1, 375 (halfway point) with 12 days to go!!!
