The goal of this fund is to raise $5,000 to assist Girl Scouts of Louisiana – Pines to the Gulf Staff Members impacted by Hurricane Laura.
As much of Louisiana grapples with Hurricane Laura's destruction, five staff members from Girl Scouts of Louisiana – Pines to the Gulf have been heavily affected. These women are hardworking and dedicated Girl Scouts who work every day on behalf of the Girl Scout Mission and their communities.
They possess a belief in the power of leadership and building tomorrow's leaders. They show up for the girls no matter what. Between them, they possess numerous years of service, and some have dedicated over twenty years to building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. These staff members have given much to their communities, and even as they continue to work on behalf of the Girl Scout Mission, we want to help them get back on their feet.
Hurricane Laura struck Louisiana as one of the most powerful storms in U.S. history, leaving widespread destruction across the state. At least 25 people were killed in Louisiana, including a 14-year-old girl and a 68-year-old man. That said, the girls in Louisiana need these women working on their behalf more than ever.
