Started by: Jason Wu
I am a chemistry and physics teacher at Vista Academy, a public school in Aurora, CO that serves students who have struggled to find success in traditional schools.
One of the most important parts of my classroom, Mr. Wu’s Warriors, is the incentive system, called the Warrior Store.
Students earn Warrior Dollars and can spend them on a variety of prizes, some of which require students to work hard and save up for the entire year.
I teach approximately 100 students each year, which works out to $7.50 per student per year. While a small sum, it brings motivation, hard work, and dedication to my classroom throughout the year. This is particularly important given the tremendous socioeconomic obstacles my students face.
I greatly appreciate your contribution - thank you!
