Sun Protection Fun (S.P.F.)
Alec, my son has a very big dream that I would love to share with you.
Alec is a happy, healthy, active 10-year-old who happens to be on medications that make him sensitive to the sun. Because of his sun sensitivity, Alec has had to learn at an early age, how to protect himself from the harmful effects of UV rays. It is his dream to help his friends become more aware of the dangers of prolonged sun exposure and to educate them on how to protect themselves.
He dreamed up the Sun Protection Fun (SPF) program to raise money for shade structures on the playground of Holy Nativity School .
Most people don’t realize that 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetimes. The harmful UV rays also cause a variety of eye diseases like cataract, macular degeneration and even cancer of the eye.
We are requesting monetary donations to fund the building of the shade structures at Holy Nativity School. Monetary gifts to Holy Nativity School for this program are considered tax deductible donations. #HNSSPF

We did it! We have surpassed our goal and raised over $30,000. Now we get to build our shade structure. Thank you so very much to each and everyone of you for helping make Alec's dream come true!
