This is my Father, my Mother's husband, my children & niece's Pop Pop. He is a Vietnam Vet of the 101st Airborne who served 1969 to 1970.

Now, He faces his last battle ...... Glioblastoma. He was diagnosed November 2017. He underwent a 7+ hour surgery to remove about 80% of the tumor. He had 6 weeks of radiation & chemotherapy. In March of 2018, his MRI showed the tumor that was the size of a lemon shrunk to the size of a grape. He started on chemo pills through May until his next MRI. Unfortunately this MRI showed the Agent Orange came back "with a vengeance" (his words, not mine.) The tumor is now bigger than it was originally. He was hospitalized & put on an aggressive dose of steroids and a new medication called Avistan. While in the hospital though, his behavior brought us to a very scary and REAL revelation. My Dad may have come home from Vietnam, but Vietnam came with him. There is a saying amongst his brotherhood, "Not everyone who lost His life in Vietnam died there. Not everyone who came home from Vietnam ever left there." This is my Fathers last battle. We will find out within 3 to 5 days if his body responds to the Avistan. He either has a month or he has eight.

I'm starting this fund because my Parents have helped SO many others in so many different ways whether monetarily, educationally or physically: helping others with their yard work, offering their vehicle for rides, making meals for family and friends in need etc.

Help me ease some of their burden. My Father is currently in a rehab facility & my Mother will have to pick him up, drive him to Penn University for his treatments & then back. He went through a period of not remembering she was there. He thought he was home when he wasn't. So now, every day she brings my Dad a coffee & a sandwich from the Wawa, his favorite meal from The Texas Roadhouse, a picture, or some item to help him attach a memory to her being there. One time he called her at 2:00 am thinking she JUST left & cried for her to come back. So she got dressed & drove all the way to Pennsylvania from NJ to be there for him.

So, please, if you can help in some way to ease the burden so they can focus on his treatment & care my heart would be so appreciative.
