This campaign exists to fund all aspects of the DNA prep work for interesting specimens we collect in the Nantahala Rainforest. This includes all equipment, tools, and chemical reagents necessary to extract and purify the DNA from fungal samples. Purchase any item from our wish list to donate to our citizen mycology laboratory directly! Our greatest hope is this campaign will give us molecular biology capabilities. This project is being run by a fully qualified female citizen scientist with a Masters in Biochemistry alongside her partner, a field mycologist and macroscopic identification wizard.
