Let's make the Egleston Sq Branch Library in Roxbury a micro-distribution hub for garden and food growing supplies for our neighbors and friends. Help us get neighbors seeds, seedlings, mulch, compost, and growing containers. We want to distribute these for free or donation, especially for our neighbors who cannot drive or cannot afford to buy supplies at this time. Donate now so that we can pay our partners for supplies and get this going before the Last Frost/Planting Date -- May 1st!

Friends! Guess what? We have distributed just about ALL of the pallet of 60 bags of compost that we ordered. I say "just about" because we have saved a couple for our project to produce pots of herbs and flowers for windowsills of homebound people so that EVERYBODY can have something growing even if they can't leave the house. And, we've ordered another pallet. And we've ordered seedlings from City Natives. And we've ordered violas (edible flowers) from Allandale. We have other exciting plans and we'll let you know about them as they unfold.... People are telling us -- this is making it possible for them to grow food. So thanks again and spread the word.

We are thrilled to let you know that we've just ordered a pallet of Black Earth Compost (60 bags) which will be delivered by the end of the month. They are SUPER swamped with orders which is good, but means we gotta wait a bit. Thanks so much for your support.

Thanks so much to our early donors! Russ Cohen -- thank you again (Russ has supported our regenerative landscape project at the library with many native edible plant donations.) We got the word that our order of seeds from Johnny's will be shipped early next week and we'll be assembling 250 Resilience Garden Kits of easy to grow veg and flowers. These "Kits" will be available outside of 5 branch libraries and a "LibGuide" to urban growing is in the works. I can't wait til we hit $300 and we can order the compost from Black Earth Compost, an early supporter of this project. Pass the word!
