Dear Friends,
I’m seeking donations to support my participation in Community Choir Leadership Training, a training program that will help me take my music leadership to the next level—and share what I’ve learned with you, my singing community.
CCLT was started in 2004 with a vision of seeding communities around the world with inclusive choirs that bring the joy of singing to people of all backgrounds. The program provides participants with the tools and training necessary to form, manage and direct a community choir. The program includes one residency session in Victoria, BC, six months of activities via tele-conferencing, and a full year of mentorship.
We all need community, and singing IS community. I have unique experiences and skills to offer this community-building movement. I’ve experienced the power of being in a room full of people of different ages, experiences, and abilities all singing the same song, holding hands, and looking into each other's eyes—being “community” for each other—and I want everyone to have that.
I expect CCLT to unlock even more of my potential as a music leader and to help me envision the next steps in my life and career. I want to share my gifts in even more meaningful and creative ways, to help us build the community we all need.
Will you help? I’m trying to raise $3,500 and your contribution of any amount will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Much Love,
Dodie
