Make Your Own!

Almost 7 years ago I was almost done fighting stage 3c breast cancer! I just had my last radiation treatment! I was so happy that I had made it through 2 surgeries, 4 hellish months of chemotherapy, and 5 weeks of radiation. I was finally at the end. I was ready to live my life to the fullest! I was feeling alive again after feeling so drained.
It’s funny how life brings you full circle. On April 23, 2018, just 1 week after my 42nd birthday, I was told the breast cancer, I fought so hard to overcome, had metastasized to my lungs. I am at Stage 4 now. No one ever wants to hear that! I’ve come so far! I felt defeated!
I met the love of my life, Matthew. We were married on 7.11.17 It was 7 months and 11 days after we met. How lucky I am?! It was meant to be and I see that more than ever now! I believed in my heart my life was finally where it was supposed to be! I was happy again! The thought of cancer was only a sliver of a memory in the back of my mind.
May 3rd, 2018 I start another grueling round of chemotherapy. I’m going into this new chapter as positive as I can be. It’s not easy being brave and strong, but I have to do it for Michael!! He was only 3 the first time and couldn’t understand exactly what Mommy was going through. He will be 10 in July. This time he understands a lot more. He has seen cancer take a friend of his and is now scared about what will happen to me. It broke my heart to tell him. A Mother’s worst nightmare, leaving too soon!
I’m sitting in this chemo chair now putting this poison inside of me for the next how ever many months knowing it will work and it will kill this cancer inside of me. I will be sick, emotional sometimes, and bald again! BUT I will be here!! I refuse to leave too soon! I will fight for myself, my husband and son, my family, and my friends! Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers and reach out anytime. Like I said I’m NOT going anywhere!
I’ve started this page, because I had to stop working last week. With such strong chemotherapy I won’t be able to work. As of now the doctors have me off for 6 months. It maybe longer depending on the response to all the tumors I have in my lungs. I hate to ask, but my friends convinced me that it’s a good idea. So, if there is anything you can donate, I would be immensely appreciative. Thank you in advance! I love you all. Xoxo
