Started by: Celina Williams
Celina (she/they) is a black queer writer, Richmond Zine Fest organizer, and librarian living in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to COVID-19 quarantine, Celina attempted to take her life in February shortly after her birthday and had to be hospitalized. Since then, Celina has struggled to stay afloat and was unable to return to work due to agoraphobia and anxiety related to a toxic workplace where she had to deal with multiple microaggressions from her boss and several library patrons. The pandemic has increased her agoraphobia and anxiety. Please donate to help Celina pay rent and other bills, and also allow her to move toward creating a space in her home where she would be able to work remotely and comfortably. Celina hopes that such a space would also help her write and finally complete a book of short stories.
In addition to rent and bills, this fund will also help Celina purchase a desk and a new laptop because her current laptop is over 10 years old, is missing keys, and glitches if she does anything on it for more than 15 minutes, which makes writing on it impossible.
Thank you for donating to assist this black queer artist and writer during a difficult time.
