Help victims of crime get new start
Some close friends of mine recently were the victims of crime wherein they lost close to $3000 worth of possessions, as well as over 100 original, irreplaceable songs.
Unfortunately, their car insurance won't cover the loss and their home insurance was recently discontinued due to a claim on a recent break-in! (more on this shortly). And there is no amount that could replace the music that was lost.
Although they've lived in the area for 15 years, it's time to go. Add to this recent theft, their home was recently broken in to. A close friend has left the area after a home invasion and due to a climb in local crime over the past year (including a firearms incident) they really need to move - soon.
They're both disabled and are on a fixed income. They're also very proud and I told them if they didn't reach out for help, I would do it for them!
So thanks to the great World Wide Web I am able to reach out to you all for some help. Your generous gift will go towards replacement costs and moving expenses as well as first and last month's rent (they have no last month's rent deposit where they live), and will help them relocate to a safer neighborhood where they can actually walk their dog at night without worrying about being shot at (I'm not kidding!).
