Make Your Own!

Hey everyone,
We found ourselves in a bad situation where we had a roommate stop paying rent and utilities for several months, unable to evict them. They're finally gone, but our lease is almost up. We were going to be using a city program to help us out, but funding has been shut off until July. We have to pay a good chunk of what we owe by the end of the month to get our lease renewed.
The break down is about $2,000. It's a little more than that, but we can cover the rest. That's due to lack of rent payment for several months + late fees. We would have handled the situation sooner, but the notices we were sent mysteriously never made it to us.
We both have a hard time asking for help. We have every intention of doing our best to pay anyone who donates back, we just need a jump start to get back to square one.
