My name is Samantha Klepach and I have been successfully functioning with hemiplegic migraine(a neurological condition consisting of excruciating headache, nausea, vomiting, tingling/numbness/weakness on one side of the body, speech problems, visual disturbance and cognitive impairment) for the past 21 years. In the past, I have dealt with these episodic attacks every couple of months and I was able to work, pursuing my passion of helping children and people with disabilities. Recently, these attacks have increased to chronic frequency, meaning that more than half my days in the past 3 months have been effected by hemiplegic migraine. I have recently been to see my neurologist and he is working on getting this under control, but with the barrage of imaging and blood tests and the slow process of trying new medication, he cannot give me an estimate of when or even if this will end.

The impact this has had on my life has been devastating. I am currently unable to work, drive myself or even guess if I will be able to function at all from day to day. My husband and highschool sweetheart, Joseph has been doing his best to make up for my lost income, however because I am dependent on him for transportation to medical appointments and sometimes self care, he can only do so much. After months of barely treading water, we are now in a position where we may not financially last the month.

After spending my entire professional life caring for others, I find myself in the humbling position of asking my friends, family and even perfect strangers to please help me. Any donations will be used for rent, utilities, living and medical expenses. Every little bit will help while we figure out how to adjust and find our footing.

Latest Update

I hope everyone is off to a great start to their Easter weekend. It's been a rough week and so far the only effects I'm seeing from the medication is drowsiness but I've got a few more weeks of increasing the dosage so I'm trying to remain hopeful. I went on for neurofeedback today which always gives me some relief for a while, so I'm very thankful for that. It's been a slow and process, but hopefully blood work will have some answers when I follow up with my neurologist. I am so grateful for all of the love and support that I've received and can't believe how many wonderful people I have the privilege of knowing. I wouldn't be able to pay my rent tomorrow without the generous gifts I've received so far and over course love and prayers and moral support are invaluable too. I still have a rough road ahead, so please get the word out by sharing even if you can't help out .

Hi everyone, Thanks to all of you for your support of all kinds! Even if you just shared my link and sent your love, it means the world to both Joe and I while we try to regroup from this unexpected detour. We could not be more grateful the awesome people in our life! I'm having better and worse days and knowing that I have so many wonderful people in my corner is really helping me get through the rough days and make the most of the better ones while I work on getting my medication adjusted. Thank you all again!
