BRI'S FAMILY HAS MADE THEIR GOAL!!!! Thank you to all that have donated! To anyone visiting for the first time here is their story...

Hurricane Harvey hit our sweet friend Briceidy Armendariz Torres and her family. Along with her husband, Enrique, and sons, Kevin and Isaac (First Steps Dolphin class student), Briceidy's parents also live with them. She is the care giver to her blind mother who has heart and kidney disease, diabetes and is on dialysis.

They are in need of a roof, floor and wall repair. For those of you that know Bri, whether she taught your child at First Steps or not, you know she is always putting others first. She needs to repair the house to keep her family safe and healthy.

Latest Update

We have made our goal!!!! With GENEROUS financial donations, some donated building materials , help from FEMA, free labor for the demo, and reasonable contractors... we have been blessed more than we could have ever imagined! The restoration process continues and every day we are excited to see what has been fixed. Thank you so much for your blessings, prayers and help. Briceidy, Enrique, Isaac, Kevin, Mr. and Mrs. Saucedo

Repairs can be started and the sooner the better so Bri can be reunited with her mom and continue to care for her complicated medical needs. Estimates are in at $21,000 to restore the major damage to the house. So many have been so generous. Thank you! Any contribution will help to get this family back on their feet. The Torres family is so grateful for the blessings they have received and send prayers to the entire community affected by Harvey.

It was been busy weekend! The roof is repaired! The demolition has been completed by so many wonderful volunteers from First Steps Montessori (Bri’s work and Isaac’s school) and the University of Houston! THANK YOU ALL! Contractors have been out and they are waiting for estimates and the dates the repairs can be started. Thank you to all of you that have made contributions. Bri, Enrique and her parents are overwhelmed with gratitude.
