I apologize for the anonymity - I'm a stalking victim with Complex PTSD and Muscle Tension Dysphonia (voice disorder), unemployed, trying to maintain hope.

My troubles began when I was laid off from my position with a large insurance company in February 2011. At that time, my diagnoses of Muscle Tension Dysphonia (leading to loss of voice) and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder were already established. I went on interview after interview after interview and any job offers fell through at the last minute. I also began to receive threats from an abusive ex-boyfriend which turned into stalking. For that reason, I am maintaining anonymity here, and I no longer have a Facebook page.

After over a year unemployed I was hired at a local company but my voice problem forced me to go on FMLA leave in October 2013. It was unpaid, so I could receive medical attention, but could not afford it. The minimal insurance the company provided meant that the voice care center (the only one in the area that treats my issue) would not work with me. I applied for protection under the Americans With Disabilities Act, and was approved by corporate, but the local HR rep did nothing to help me move into a position that allowed me to rest my voice. So I was let go in January 2014. I was not advised of this until 2 months after. I applied for unemployment in April 2014. It exhausted in August, and I have no income.

I completed an educational program through the local one stop center for Medical Coding & Billing in May 2014 and was able to obtain my certification (CPC-A) in July 2014. I'm having a difficult time getting my foot in the door, and I'm being helped by Vocational Rehabilitation, my former instructor, and WIA in my search. Having no voice has made finding employment more of a challenge. The other obstacle is the Catch-22 situation of education + credential but lack of experience.

Both of my parents are dead. My sisters are married with their own families, and they are working, but struggling as well. One is helping her divorced daughter and her 2 children and the other is diabetic, working 100+ hours a week, has 2 children of her own, and a sick husband.

I'm most concerned about eviction. The kind of lease I have, I can be told to leave at any time. I rent weekly with my utilities covered in the rent. My landlord is not willing to work with me anymore after the last long bout of unemployment and it's hard enough finding work with shelter. Since 2011, I have tried every single aid agency, 211, all the referrals I can get (I and others on my behalf): I'm single and childless, so I don't qualify. Or I'm unemployed and they cannot help me (United Way agencies). I'm able to obtain meds for my PTSD through Vocational Rehabilitation - but the program does not cover or help with living expenses. I only have cell phone and internet because I've been told over and over to apply online when I've gone into employers with my resume/to fill out applications. My car is paid for, but it is an 02 and gas is at a premium. I would LOVE to spend time at the library for internet, but...gas. And because public transportation only runs 7-7, I need to keep my car.

******

If you are unable to donate, then please spread the word. If you know of any online positions for entry-level medical coding and/or billing or any companies in the Lakeland, FL metro area that are hiring entry-level medical coders/billers, medical insurance claim processors - positions of that ilk - don't hesitate to email me through this site. I need financial assistance for now - but I want to work!

Thank you very much for listening.

Good morning, everyone, I have news, but first - thanks to anon, Melissa, and Laura. I am going to be wrapping up here and moving to my Patreon page. I'll be launching it this week, so I'll post that link in another update. I updated this final fund: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-012917 for rent, food, insulin. I will leave my plumfund acct open for another month to give people time to get to my Patreon page if you wish to support me further or even if you just want to say hello. I really appreciate all of your support for over these past two years, and I'll see you on Patreon (I hope)! Have a lovely week, everyone!

Good morning - first, thanks to anon, Melissa, and Laura for their support this past week. I updated the fund for this week, and will be winding down here in the next few weeks: https://www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-12217 (food, rent, internet, haircut just in case) Still checking over and tightening up my Patreon site and will post link here when I'm satisfied with it. Shouldn't be too long. Been feeling a bit under the weather - indoor allergies are kicking up, so I took the medicine that makes me sleepy and my head is bobbing. Have lovely week, everyone.

Good morning, everyone. Thanks to Melissa, Laura, and anon for their support this last week. As I've mentioned before, I have a hashtag on Twitter for direct giving to the marginalized - #SocialJusticeOClock. I started it thru my main acct abt 2 yrs 3 mths ago, tho last year I moved the tweets to @SJWOnTime to avoid clutter. I'm still streamlining processes and while I'm still open to finding work in my area of training (Medical Coding and Billing), I want to take my tag full-time and share my good fortune in that respect. I'm still working on a Patreon page and once that is to my satisfaction, I will move. This week I updated the fund: http://www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-011517 for rent, food, insulin, and ink for my printer since I have paperwork to submit for Medicaid (trying again). Have yourselves a lovely week!

Good morning, everyone. Thanks to anon, Melissa, and Laura for their support last week. I have updated the fund for rent, food, and added in the amt for doctor's visit ($75) as I'm still uninsured, and applying for Medicaid in FL means I'm going to have to go thru disability determination (yep, Social Security) before/if I'm covered, so. Fun. www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-010817 I think I'm coming down w something, hence adding dr's visit, just in case. It has cooled off significantly in the past few days, but the main issue w FL weather is that it goes from mid-upper 80s during the day to somewhere in the 50s at night. It takes a toll sometimes whether I have the flu/pneumonia shots or not. That could be it. Thank you so much for enabling me to get my new stick vacuum - it works like a dream and is exactly what I needed. It feels cleaner in here and that's what I wanted. Have a lovely week, everyone and bundle up!

Good morning, everyone and Happy New Year! 2016 is gone! Hopefully 2017 will be better. Thanks to anon, Melissa, and Laura for their support last week. I've updated the fund for this week - www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-010117 - for rent, food, laundry, test strips, and I need a new stick vacuum. I've been using the Swiffer Sweeper I have for over 5 yrs and the suction is past gone, so. I found a good one on ebay for $22, just as I found a great deal on 2 months worth of test strips! Here's to everyone's new year being better than the last! Have a lovely week, everyone!

Good morning, everyone, and Merry Christmas to those who observe. Thanks to Melissa, Laura, and anon for contributing to my fund this past week. I have updated this week for rent, food, insulin, internet bill (thought I'd paid but no), and back support: https://www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-122516 Thanks to your help, I was able to purchase the perfect gift cards for my niece and nephew and I found the most adorable gift bags just for gift cards. I added some small treats to the bags and made small cards w hints. I think they'll like them. I'm known for being creative when it comes to gift giving. Thank you all so much for your help over the year and have a lovely Holiday(s)!

Good morning, everyone. Thanks to Melissa, Laura, and anon for their help this past week. I've been going thru a very bad case of holiday blues - my father died Christmas Eve 2008 and as the date gets closer, my mood drops. Yesterday was especially bad. I'm feeling a little shaky today. I updated the fund for this week: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-121816 for rent, food, syringes, and I'm purchasing gift cards for my niece and nephew as they're both teenagers now. Whether I actually stay over on Christmas depends on my back (acting up as well) and my mood - I still remember them as babies and they'll always be my munchkins. Thank you very much, and bundle up this week.

I've updated the fund for food, rent, insulin, a script refill: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-121116. I'm feeling pretty down at the moment: holiday blues. So down that even the duck/goose joke abt down in the mouth can't elicit the usual giggle (I love terrible jokes). Enjoy your week, everyone, and stay warm.

I updated the fund for this week here: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-120416 Have a lovely week, everyone, and keep warm! If you live in a warmer climate, keep cool!

Good morning, everyone! Thanks to Melissa, Laura, and anon for their support last week. I was able to purchase a new hose for my CPAP as well as replacement filters. My fall allergies are pretty bad but since there've been some cooler days, I haven't had to run the a/c as much. That's helped. But I'd suspected that the CPAP hose was leaking air and the new hose makes a huge difference as I'm not waking up during the night to adjust it, etc for air. I updated the fund for this week: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-111316 to include rent, food, insulin, and test strips (found some for under $20 on eBay). It seems to be cooling off, esp at night, and it finally feels like autumn...almost in time for winter... Floridaaaaaaaaa! Have a lovely week, everyone!

Captain's Log, Stardate 10-16-16... Oops. Ahem - a little lame humor to counteract my depression - I haven't had an episode this bad and long in years. Thanks to Melissa, Laura, and anon for donating to my fund last week. I really appreciate it. I also appreciate that all of you are still willing to listen to me week after week. Yesterday we had my niece's birthday party (turns 17 on 10/19/16) - she loved her gift card ($50) and the 6.6-lb tub of Nutella (found on ebay). Thank you so much for helping me give her 2 things she needs (money for clothes) and loves. She and my sister will be doing some Nutella baking like she'd been wanting to for a long time. Now they have enough to do it. I updated the fund for this week: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-101616 to include rent, food, hygiene and household items (I'd put them off, but they're really low now), and med refill. Good morning, everyone - I survived Hurricane Matthew - I'm located in the middle of FL, so we got tropical storm conditions at most - lots of rain, some wind. I'm very fortunate. Thanks to Melissa, Laura, and anon for their support last week. I updated the fund for this week: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-10916 My niece's birthday is coming up on the 19th, and my BIL advised she would like Nutella (she LOVES it) and clothes, so I included the price for the biggest jar I could find and for a gift card for clothes for her. Good morning, everyone. Though I love fall, the fall allergies are already making life fun. Thanks to Melissa, Laura, and anon for their support this past week. I updated the fund www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-92516 for rent, food, laundry, and internet. I'm grateful that you continue to listen and support me. It means so much to know that there are people out there who care. I'm looking into changing my job search strategy and possibly closing my VR case - there are only 2 job search contractors that they use in this area: the first dropped me, and this other one just doesn't seem to get that I'm searching for a medical/coding job and keeps applying me to positions that are only peripherally related only to have the interviewer tell me that my qualifications are impressive but they need a closer match. So. I continue to work on my Patreon project. Thank you very much, and have a lovely week!

Good morning. Thanks to Melissa, Laura, and anon for continuing to support my humble fund. I'm a bit subdued today as I lost a dear friend on 9/11/01 and I cannot w the "commemorations". I updated the fund for another week: http://www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-91116 with rent, food, insulin, syringes, and one script renew. I think I may have finally found affordable health insurance, but still looking into it. I need to at least test my a1c, though it was 6.1 last time and my doc let me wait a bit longer to do testing. Today's the 1 yr anniversary of my type II diabetes dx. I'm faithfully checking my bg, injecting my insulin, learning more everyday abt how to manage it. It has been a challenging year getting used to being a diabetic but my older sister who's also type II (had gestational diabetes 2x, it stayed after last child), my BIL's mother (type II), and a friend (type II) have helped me so much. Have a good week, everyone.

Greetings, everyone. Up for the night shift once again. First off, thanks to Melissa, Laura, and anon for their support for this fund last week. I updated for this week - sorry it's a bit higher - I got turned around and remembered my dr appt is this Thursday, so I added the $75. I also need a replacement optical drive (CD) for the computer you generously helped me to get. I've tried every solution to get it to work consistently, so this is the last option - replacing it. Considering the age of the drive (OEM) it's time to change it out, so I found one on ebay for $20. I also added for syringes. www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-81416 Thanks to you, I was able to renew my AAPC credential in time to avoid being penalized and I'm still slogging away at finding work in my chosen field. I'm also working on an alternative using my writing/indexing/curiosity to support myself. That way I can not depend so much on crowdfunding. Have a wonderful week!

Greetings, everyone. I'm up late as part of my body clock changing to nights awake. However, I'm a bit sleepy still and I have a feeling I'll be sleeping some tonight. My sister the diabetic told me that diabetes can affect the sleep cycle and though I can only sleep at most 5 hours at a time I still need to nap. I updated the fund so I wouldn't forget: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat----week-of-71716. I can't think of anything besides rent, food, and diabetes supplies. Have a lovely week, everyone, and stay hydrated.

Good morning, everyone. I thought I'd do this before I fold laundry and stare at the ceiling (silent time). I updated the fund for this week, and the only thing I could think of besides rent, food, and diabetic supplies was haircut and 1 prescription refill. So - http://www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-71016 . You'll notice that the amt is lower. I got the computer you helped me buy off ebay - I haven't set it up yet. I have to see my dr abt some bloodwork that needs to be done (it's 70% off if they do it inhouse) and the ins rep about finding an affordable plan for me. Have a lovely week, everyone!

Good morning, everyone. I'm updating the fund now as I am still awake. I have taken my sleeping meds, so I'll go ahead. My body switches to night awake/day asleep when it gets hot, so I've been adjusting to being up for longer at night and into the morning. I updated the fund for this week: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-7316 for rent, food, and I found a used office computer system - my current one is about 14 years old, and I need something more up-to-date - I've upgraded this one as far as I can, and it's too slow, too little memory, and the board can't take any more upgrades. So, while I can get a new (to me) box for under $50, I will. Have a happy 4th of July, and be careful out in the heat!

Good afternoon, everyone. First off, thanks to my awesome donors Melissa, Laura, and anon for supporting my fund this past week. I've updated for this week - it's higher than usual - I thought my dr's appt was next week, but it's this Friday, so I had to add that. I can pay off in installments, but I'd rather just pay the whole charge so my anxiety and OCD don't take over. I have rent, internet, food, dr, insulin (trying to synch up the 'scripts for the 2 kinds I have to inject), and laundry. www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-62616 My CPC is up to renew and the rest of my CEUs are due to AAPC by 6/30 (difficult when not working), but I was able to chat with a member rep and she extended my CEU deadline by 3 mths and advised me that I have a 40-day grace to renew (I was holding back because of CEUs). I got a nice emailed list of free/low-cost CEUs I can do. So grateful and relieved! Have a lovely week, and thank you so very much!

Hello, everyone. Thanks to Melissa, Laura, and my anon donor for their support last week. I updated the fund for this week: http://www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-61916 for rent, food, diabetic supplies (syringes, test strips - better prices on eBay for more than one month's worth than 1 box retail), and gas. I got a response from the interview I did - they went with another candidate; I had a feeling - when they take the full time they quoted to tell you, then it can be an indication that you didn't get the position. I'm not upset, though, just have to keep plugging along - this time of year sees hiring for my field due to vacations/retirements/etc. I keep at it, something will happen. The rejection hurts, but I can't let it take me over. Have a lovely week, and happy Father's Day and Juneteenth to the observant.

*Redoing the update bc I pasted in the wrong link* Good morning. First off, let me thank Melissa, Laura, and my anon donor for their help this past week. I'm a bit distracted today - partly due to the local shooting and partly because I suspect I'm entering another major depressive episode. So I shall get to the point: I updated the fund for rent, food, insulin/other med refills - www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-61216 I just want to say to take care and hug your loved ones to yourselves. Have a lovely week, and thanks for all your support.

Good afternoon, everyone. First, thanks to my recurring donors for another week of support - Melissa, Laura, and anon. I'm a bit distracted by a personal and emotional matter so I'll be brief. I updated my fund for this week: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-6516 I figured in for rent, food, haircut, and laundry. I checked and I don't have any prescriptions to fill at the moment. It's starting to get quite hot here, so it's time for the first summer shearing (ha!). My sister's birthday is coming up on the 24th and I need to update my AAPC credential, but I have some CEUs to post and make sure they're counted before I renew. Enjoy your week, and keep hydrated!

Good afternoon, hope you're all enjoying your Memorial Day weekends. I had my interview last Wed, and they advised that they will be interviewing other candidates and the decision will be made in 2 wks, and I will be notified either way. Refreshing, really. After my interview I took myself to the library and then to the lake across from it to feed and sit with the waterfowl (swans, ducks, geese). - Thanks to Melissa, Laura, and anon for supporting my fund last week. This week I included rent, internet, diabetic supplies, and food (www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-52916). After running my mouth on Twitter all morning, I need to step away from the pc and do some reading. - Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend and, as always, thanks for listening. :-)

Good afternoon. First off, thanks to my recurring donors, Melissa, Laura, and anon - and a special thank-you to Rosie (@MMASammich) for her help when my car battery needed a jump and no one was available to help, so she sent the funds to pay for a taxi to come jump my car. They couldn't get out to me, so I refunded her, but I still wanted to thank her here. Also, thanks to anon who helped me to replace the battery - tested and it was time to replace it. My vehicle is running as it should, and that's good because I have an interview this coming Wednesday for a DME biller position. Remaining cautiously optimistic. I updated the fund to include rent, food, gas, and meds: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-52216 Thank you very much for listening/donating, and have a lovely week!

Good morning, everyone. First off, let me thank Melissa, Laura, and anon for their contributions last week. I have updated my fund for this week: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/taying-afloat---week-of-51516 for rent, 'scripts, food, and gas. I went to the doctor on Thursday and my bg and bp were the best they've been so far. That was good. My former instructor fwded a coding position for me and my job coach is applying me for it. It looks very good, but I'm cautiously optimistic. My vehicle is giving me trouble, but nothing serious. Yet. Just taking everything one day at a time - or attempting to. :-) For some odd reason, I'm very sleepy today, so I will end here. Have a lovely week, everyone.

Thought I'd put a photo of my favorite dog breed smiling - I had a Golden growing up and I still miss her. Thanks to Melissa, Laura, and anon for helping me last week. It is with heavy heart and guilty conscience that I made my fund this week: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/keeping-afloat---week-of-5816 I thought my dr appt was next week, but it's this week, so I had to add that expense, and I have my insulin and syringes to pick up as well. Still looking for health insurance that won't cost an arm and a leg - I'm yet another in the ACA gap, and my state (FL)...don't get me started. Still keeping my eyes peeled and ear to the ground about that other position - they still have my resume and will contact me. That's one positive. I thank you all and appreciate your listening and donations. Have a lovely week - and thank you again.

Good morning! It's May Day, and though my knees are not up for dancing around a maypole, it's still rather nice out. Thanks so much to Melissa, Laura, and my anon donor for their help last week! I updated my fund: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-5116 and you may noticed it's lower. I'm glad for that - I only have 1 prescription to refill and it's one of my vitamins. My sinuses have been kicking, which is no surprise as oak trees are everywhere, and I'm allergic to oak pollen. I expect it to rain any day now, and wash it away. As for the job front, my job coach ran into my would-be interviewer and she said she still had my resume and would call when the other position opened up. So that's good news. As always, I appreciate your listening if you're unable to donate, and thank you. Have a lovely week, everyone!

I have meds to refill, but they're free through Publix Pharmacy. I'm still keeping my eyes peeled for that next position to open up, I'm starting to see more postings because it's that time of the year, so I've been sending the leads to my job coach. So I added that. Takes the pressure off, let me tell you. I had an interview scheduled for this past Thursday, but...fizzled out bc I don't have enough coding experience. Good afternoon and Good Palm Sunday to those who observe. It's the beginning of my favorite week of the year culminating in my favorite holy day. Anyway, I updated the fund for this week to include my dr's visit (uninsured, so no longer $1) - it's $75 and they take installments, but...if I can pay it at once, I won't have to worry abt it fior 6 wks (the time between visits these days). I also included food. I'm working on finding affordable insurance so that I can lower the amt I ask for - it bothers me bc I know you have your financial considerations as well so asking for more than I feel I should bothers me. http://www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-32016. Otherwise, everything's still the same - still looking for work, a few nibbles, hopefully some interview activity this week. Keep your fingers crossed! Have a wonderful week, everyone. I have updated the fund for this week: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-112915 - and I apologize for the increased amount. To keep my CPC, I have to take the ICD-10 Proficiency Assessment through AAPC - and like every other medical anything, there's a charge. I waited for the price to come down and it has to the point where I don't have to ask for an exorbitant amount extra. I'll have until 12/31/15 to take the test, open-book, unproctored, online, 2 tries. I figure I'd might as well get that out of the way. I'm not thinking of Christmas shopping right now - what the kiddos want is relatively inexpensive and I have plenty of time. Anyway, I hope all of you have a wonderful week, and don't get too frazzled in the shops!

Good morning - I couldn't sleep so I thought I'd update for this week before I forget. I love Falling Back - it only feels like autumn to me after that. I hope you all had a happy Halloween. Here is the fund for this week: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-11115 I just found out Friday that my rent is going up by $20 beginning this Friday, so I added a bit to my usual amount. I also have to purchase syringes (150 for the month - 5 insulin shots/day), gas, and I have my biweekly doctor's appt. Oh, and my test strips are up for refill. So it's one of those weeks. I want to express my deep gratitude to my donors who help me w rent and expenses week after week. I really do appreciate your generosity! Have a lovely week and enjoy your extra hour!

Greetings, everyone. Thanks to my recurring donors - Melissa, Laura, and anon for their help with last week's fund. I updated for this week: http://www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-102515 I included internet (due in Friday), laundry, and gas. I had a meeting with my VR CM on Friday - still looking for work, still getting passed over. I'm a bit discouraged and feel like I'm doing something wrong - but I interview well, I am polite and courteous, I follow-up...trying hard not to take it personally. She told me that VR has joined the Chamber of Commerce, so they look forward to building those relationships that hopefully lead to employment for me and other VR customers. I hope - I will admit to some guilt that I have been crowdfunding for over 1 year and still unable to find steady work. I know - life - but still. Oh - and the graphic on this week's fund is a big hug for all who have helped me out since I started. Thank you so much! Have a lovely week!

Good afternoon, everyone! Thanks to my recurring donors, Melissa, Laura, and anon. I've updated the fund for this week: http://www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-101815 I have some copays a-comin' - diabetic eye appt tomorrow (10/19/15), 2-wk checkup w/ PCP Wed (10/21/15), refills for both types of insulin I have to inject, and probably new glasses (I've a feeling). Going to give my niece the gift you guys helped me buy for her birthday - she's going to love it and I can't wait to see her face! Have a lovely week, everyone!

Good morning! First, I want to thank my recurring donors Melissa, Laura, and anon - and the rest of you who have supported me over the last year and now. Thank you so much! I am more grateful than I can express. I ordered my niece's birthday present and got it Thursday - she is going to be so happy, I can't wait to see her face! Updated for this week: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-101115 Rent, haircut (it's getting scary up top), gas, and birthday present materials (wrap, card, etc.) Yesterday was a month to the day I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes - it's been a learning experience, but I feel better everyday, and my legs are strong enough to walk farther distances. Just getting the balance of eating enough to keep my blood sugar up and eating the right things right. Have a great week!

Good morning, everybody! Thanks to my recurring donors Melissa, Laura, and anon. I'm progressing in managing my diabetes, just balancing blood glucose with a healthier diet - my appetite is better, but I still get full too quickly. My legs are improving - I climbed some stairs this last week! Still a bit wobbly, but I made it up and back down. Truth be told, feeling a little smug about it. :-) This week's fund (www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-10415) is for rent, laundry, and...I struggled with this last one, because it's for my niece's birthday. Her family has been going through a tough year, and she wants Converse sneakers for her birthday (Oct 19). She's such a good kid and I want her to be happy. So I included the price of a pair I saw on ebay (NIB). I don't like to ask for unrelated expenses since you've all been so generous and I don't want to tempt fate, as they say. However, I love my niece as if she were my own. Have a lovely week, everyone!

Good morning, everyone! Thanks to Melissa, Laura (recurring), and my anon donor for your help last week. I've updated this week (www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-92715) for rent, gas money, and diabetic supplies. I have to inject myself w insulin 5x a day (morn, night, meals) and check my glucose up to 7x a day, so...alcohol pads, syringes, and lancets. I found a deal on test strips, so that's not a concern at the moment. I'm getting better at managing my diabetes, my legs are getting stronger by the day, and I'm balancing my appetite with eating right. I decided in the hospital that I can and will do this, so...I am. Have a great week!

Good afternoon, everyone! First let me thank my anon donor, Melissa, and Laura for supporting my fund this last week. I'm happy to report my legs are regaining their strength - I should be able to start walking for exercise again soon. I'm better used to insulin, scheduling meals, eating more often (that was a big issue before), and going back to the low sodium diet I was raised on as a kid. I see my primary doctor on Wed for follow-up. I updated the fund for this week: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-92015. I added internet, laundry, and copay for test strips (sticker shock!). Have a wonderful week - autumn's almost here!

Hello, everyone. First, thanks to Melissa, Laura, Rosie, and my anon donor for last week's donations. I found out what's wrong with me last Thursday when I went to the doctor, then got sent to the hospital - where I am now (still). My sugar and bp were high - I'm a newly-diagnosed diabetic. I wouldn't be updating from the hospital if my landlord didn't actually text me about the rent that I wasn't at home to pay. I sent that off through Paypal, but I won't be able to rest if I don't update for this week so I can get back to healing. So, here is the url: www.plumfund.com/financial-hardship/staying-afloat---week-of-91315. As always, thank you all for your support, and have a lovely week!

Good afternoon! First off, let me thank Rosie, Melissa, Laura, and my anon donor for supporting me last week. Internet has been paid. It has been quite a week. On Tuesday, I enrolled in my new job placement agency through Voc Rehab, Friday I went to the doctor for some symptoms (weakness in the legs esp) that have come on in the last month or so but I was so focused on my sister, that I put them on the back burner. Speaking of - she's out of ICU! She will be in the hospital for a while, though. I have been asking for extra for travel to visit my sister in Miami for the last few weeks - well, there is an emergency with my sister who lives closer to me - BIL's contract ended a month early, leaving her the only one working. The car's transmission blew, so they're carless atm. The food situation isn't good, and she's a diabetic, so she must eat regularly. Therefore, I'm not going to request extra for travel/accommodation - I will take what I have saved up and help her out with food. +

Good morning, everyone. First off, thanks to Melissa, Laura, and my anon donor for helping me reach my goal last week. The final tally of transplants for my sister was liver, stomach, pancreas, small & large intestine. Zowie. She's in ICU for about 3 weeks, so we're not going to visit until she gets into a regular room, per doctor's orders. I'm saving the $52 that was donated last week for the shuttle until it's needed. However, since we're most likely going to stay over, I added an approximation of room cost/night - I broke it up (a bit this week, a bit next week, etc). www.plumfund.com/pf/u60y7 I remain ever grateful for all your support, tweets, and positive energy. Greetings, everyone - first off, let me thank my recurring and anon donor/s: Melissa and Laura. *** I'm posting later than normal as the last few days have been hectic. Those of you who follow me on the Twitter know that my sister had her liver & intestinal transplant beginning Thursday and into Friday (16 hrs). She had the follow-up op to remove the packing yesterday and everything looks good. I am so relieved, though cautiously optimistic. *** This week, I may be headed down to visit her - there is a shuttle that costs $52. I added that to this week. I can't think of anything else. If I don't go this week, I'll save it bc I'll visit her at home if I can't get down to Miami. http://www.plumfund.com/pf/hoc3q *** Wednesday (8/5) is my birthday. I'll be 38. I don't feel one way or another about it, but time flies, eh? *** I hope you all have a wonderful week, and it's the Dog Days - stay hydrated!

Good morning! Thanks to Melissa, Laura, and my anon donor for helping me reach my goal last week. The internet bill has been paid, and my sister will love her birthday present (shipped later than I thought it would). This week my goal is higher because I have to order CPAP equipment. I have obstructive sleep apnea and sleep with a CPAP. I have since 2006. The last time I replaced my equipment (mask, filters) was shamefully long ago (2011) because I had other concerns and because the barely adequate insurance I had from the county and later call center employment wouldn't cover the price (wrangling over pre-existing pre-ACA); every time I tried to save to pay out of pocket, life came at me. It's time I replaced my equipment because my breathing is becoming affected (waking up wheezing). So I went to cpap.com to price it out, and it came to $90.84 including shipping. Also, I need to purchase personal hygiene items. http://www.plumfund.com/pf/ml9b2 Have a wonderful week, and thank you!

Good morning! Thanks to my anon donor, Melissa, and Laura for helping me reach my goal for last week. I appreciate it more than I can say. I reset the fund for this week: www.plumfund.com/pf/lp0pp. The goal is increased because of 2 things - I'd been having trouble starting my vehicle in the last few weeks and yesterday - no one was around to give me a jump. I have put off getting a jump starter for a while, but I need one while I find the receipt for my battery if it needs to be replaced. I picked one out to be ordered and picked up at the store closest to me (less than 1 mi away) and it's $47.99. Also, my sister's birthday is coming up and I want to do something nice for her, so I added $30 - a nice reasonably-priced dinner or different present. I also accounted for fees. Thank you so much, and I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Household items - gotta do some dusting - and the OTC allergy meds I take on a daily basis because the pollen is much worse this year. Good morning, everyone. I can no longer reset my fund every week - I have to do a new one. Because I can no longer set Paypal as my cc processor (I refuse WePay - extremely bad experience), I have decided to not take cc payments on the fund itself as long as WePay is the only option. I will go ahead and give the paypal email address and you can contribute that way. I will add your online payments to the funds manually so as to avoid confusion. Sorry for the inconvenience - hopefully Plumfund and I can get this straightened out. If not, I'll have to move sites, and I will let all of you know. I will update each week from this fund with the donation information. Paypal email: twilliams218@tampabay.rr.com; http://www.plumfund.com/pf/042415 - goal $260 This week I have included my internet bill, laundry, and gas. Good morning, everyone. I'd like to thank Melissa, Laura, and my anon donor for supporting me again this week. It appears that I'm having a bit of a technical difficulty resetting the fund, so I'll do another update when it has been resolved. I received an email from AAPC (holds my CPC certification) about renewing my membership (expires 6/30/15) and it's $125.00. I was expecting much more, so I'm quite relieved. I wondered how I could incorporate it into my fund to where it wouldn't be asking too much extra, but my OCD won out. If I didn't just get the renewal over with, I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it - hence the goal of $315 this week (rent, laundry, and AAPC renewal). Like I said, though, as soon as I get the issue of resetting my fund sorted, I'll post an update. I don't want to confuse anyone. Have a lovely week, everybody!

Thanks to Christine, Melissa, Laura, and my anon donor for helping me pay rent and living expense this past week. I really appreciate the help you all render to me. I hope to have a position soon. I have accelerated putting out applications and submitting my resume as more positions in my chosen field have opened up ahead of summer and as the change to ICD-10 looms on October 1. I'm feeling confident and hopeful. I can't think of anything extra I need this week apart from gas. Maybe a car wash (usually rains when I wash my car but the forecast is no rain until next weekend, so I'll chance it). The automatic car wash near me remodeled and now offers a $5 wash and free vacuums - that's for me! Oh, and Happy Mothers Day to the mothers out there - my relationship with my own mother was...difficult, shall we say...so I'm not enthused about the holiday, nor waiting for just 1 day of the year to honor a full-time responsibility and for profit, but there it is.

Good morning - First of all, thank you to my recurring donors, Melissa and Laura, and my anon donor for helping me to reach goal last week. It has been an up-and-down week with my ill sister, but she seems to have improved markedly. Unfortunately, the severity of her condition doesn't allow me to feel unalloyed relief, so, I'm cautiously optimistic. The job market locally seems to have picked up - I and my employment agency helper have been putting in applications and submitting my resume for coding and medical records positions. It's that time of the year when the providers put out the feelers for new grads, upper division students, and those looking to change jobs. I'm trying to stay on top of that. I wanted to update tonight to relieve this suspense about my last interview within myself. Have a lovely weekend, all.

Thanks so much to Laura and Melissa for making my week and helping me meet my goal early. I had a wonderful interview (#2) at a local company for a position in my old field in insurance. I am actually getting my hopes up on this one - I miss insurance. I'm resetting the fund for this week as usual. Just keeping the same amt as last week for gas. Have a wonderful week, everyone!

Thank you very much to Melissa, Laura, and anonymous for helping me to reach my rent + internet goal this week. Both have been paid and with a sigh of relief. Went to sleep too early, awoke too early so I reset my fund for the recurring donors and to keep records straight. This week I need household items so I increased my goal to reflect that. Have a lovely week, everyone!

Thanks so much to Melissa, Laura, Donna, Shefali, and my anon donor for helping me to meet my goal. As is normal practice, I reset my rent fund for this week. I added my internet bill as it is coming due. I'm trying to keep on top of it instead of letting it get behind again. I have an interview on Tues with an employer for a position that fits me perfectly. Crossing my fingers. Have a lovely week, everyone!

Thank you very much to Melissa, Laura, and my anon donor for helping me reach my goal! I was able to pay rent and purchase Doggeriffic's raw honey. He had a nice birthday yesterday, but in his older age, he refuses to wear the hat. :-) Anyway, I reset the fund per usual. I can't think of anything extra I need this week, so it's back to normal. Have a great week, everybody.

Well, I filed my taxes, and was looking forward to my tiny refund and was planning to reduce my fund amount by $55 for this week. Well - I found out yesterday that my refund was "applied to a past due obligation" that I was not aware of. I have been filing income tax since 1995 and I have paid the small amounts I have owed - the IRS certainly didn't hesitate to take those amounts out of my checking account at the times due. So I'm wondering what it is I could possibly owe and hope that something hasn't gone terribly wrong somewhere. I can't call and ask for 2 weeks, so. Anyway, enough about my IRS troubles. I still have rent due today at 7PM and tomorrow is Doggeriffic's birthday (9), and hopefully I can get him his honey to help w his allergies and skin itchiness. I want to make his doggy dotage as comfy as possible - and he does love sweets. :-) Thank you very much for any support/donations you are able to give.

Good morning! (Why am I awake this early...) I reset the fund as I always do to keep my record keeping in order. This week's goal includes money for laundry (want to get back to my former habit of every other week) and as it is Doggeriffic's (my sister's dog) birthday on the 14th, I included a bit for the present I want to get for him. He suffers from allergies and dry skin that hasn't responded very well to traditional treatment, so I'm planning to get him some raw honey from a local honey farm. In my research, I've seen that vets have recommended it. He's going to be 9, and he's already "grumpy old guy" :-) so I want to give him some comfort in his doggy dotage. As always thanks to everyone for their support and RTs on Twitter! Have a wonderful week and...Friday's the 13th!

Thanks again for enabling me to see my sis in Orlando. I have been able put my mind a bit more at ease that she's okay. We also had our family meeting, but that's best kept in the family. Anyway, I have reset the fund as normal. I have added a bit this week because I need a haircut and I can get one at my alma mater for a very reasonable price. Fun fact: the first day of this month is on a Sunday, so that means there will be a Friday the 13th this month! I'm excited because I love Fridays the 13th. 13 is actually my favorite number. I was able to pay my rent earlier - thank you very much to Melissa, Laura, and my anon donor. I just spoke to my brother-in-law, and my sister is to be out of the hospital later today. I'll be driving my sister who lives near me to see her. She lives in Orlando, which is a good distance from where we are, so I need a bit more money for gas. My other sis doesn't get paid until next week. I'm happy she'll be returning home today, and I really want to see her, so if I may ask for a bit extra - I've extended the fund $20. I promised I would go easy this week due to TG, and I have. I spent yesterday dog-sitting my sister's family dog at her home (TG was at the home of one of my abusers this year, so I did not go). He was a very good boy and the day was peaceful and recharged my batteries. Animal Planet (he watches tv with us), comfy sofa, snoozing pup, nice walk by the lake...wonderful. At the moment, we need to push to get me to this week's goal. As I have to buy MOs, it would be a big help if you could spread the word in your own ways and donate if possible.
