Due to an administrative error and delays in my department caused by COVID, I have had to register for an additional term at McMaster in order to defend my PhD dissertation. I'm still unable to work at the bookshop where I was previously employed, and while I make a small amount of money as a literary agent, I'm still in the baby stages and my income is unpredictable. I am out of federal funding for my project, and my department has not stepped up to offer me any additional funding, even though the circumstances of the delay are beyond my control. If I am able to raise the money that is required, I can complete and defend my dissertation in the first term of this year! Any support that you are able to offer would be deeply appreciated.
