Our dear friend Aimee is having a baby! And the journey has already begun. This Plumfund is to support Aimee in the journey through Birth. We know she needs a Village now, as she nurtures the baby towards Birth. Any amount is welcomed. The priority is the Doula; the "general contribution" can be chosen if you just want Aimee to choose the category. - Lynn Polon & Amy Draizen, Mona Webb & Relda Aygoza

I'm 8 months pregs! And...yay, the Doula fund is nearly covered (with 2 contributions outside of here), and a couple more items are even being included! Thanks so much!!! A little more will enable some other items like an infant CPR class, prenatal massage and movement classes. And now, we have a registry (if anyone wants to check it out) at https://www.simpleregistry.com/aimeebaby/

Getting closer to the goal! As you know, we’ve been able to begin with the Doula Samsarah Morgan - I’m feeling more assured with her in place and now heavily getting into birth prep classes w/my birth partner Mona, hospital visits, registry, and getting ready! Knowledge is definitely power. And while at times it feels scary, and lonesome, family looks different for everyone... Grateful for the support of the forming village rising to the occasion, and that’s you! Thanks for continuing to keep the support and love coming as I move into 7.75 weeks with my now-big fish!

Thank you to all who have contributed to the Doula fee and a few other items on this list! We've made $1510 out of the $2000 Doula Fee! I plan to thank you all in as many ways as I can, but for now, please know how grateful I am to have been able to select Samsarah as the Doula and to get started. (Read the prior updates for more, if you are a new supporter!)

I’ve selected a Doula and we are getting started! You too your support so far, I’ve been able to put an initial deposit to begin working with Samsarah Morgan, a very seasoned practitioner who has supported more than 1000 births over the past 30 + years. She founded Nia Health: http://www.niaoaklandbetterbirthfoundation.com/. We met last week and signed the contract! I will continue to be grateful for the remaining fundraising that will enable me to pay the entire fee. I’m also excited that it looks like I may be able to get a prenatal massage which is much needed now that—(Another update) we’re back to school! I’ve taken on extra jobs, so that I can save up for when I cannot work anymore; the hope is to stay with baby at least 6 months. I’m not eligible for actual “maternity leave“ so it will be lots being frugal! Thanks again for your continued support.

Getting bigger with my little fish! 27 weeks/6.75 month...& He’s moving lots. And—looking forward to working with a Doula / birth coach very soon—I’m now interviewing and almost there! She will be such a blessing for this journey, from nutritional coaching to education to just being a consistent coach for me & my birth partner dear friend Mona...helping with consistency on this uncharted territory! Took my first prenatal yoga classes and a birth coaching/movement class, which were all amazing for managing stress. Thank you for helping make this happen for us. We’re at $895 so far!...thanks so much to you who pitched in!
