A tale of two cities...
Carlos and I are not your typical couple, but we wouldn't have it any other way. It's our differences and distance that ultimately brought us together. We are planning on getting married very soon! Carlos is not a citizen of the United States and is currently here on a student visa. Good news is, our marriage will allow him to receive a permanent resident status and eventually citizenship! The not-so-fortunate reality is that changing his status is not cheap. The process is also a complex one and requires the aid of an immigration lawyer. We won't let this get us down though and we're optimistic of our future together. One thing that is certain is that we love each other and this is just another landmark on the map of our life together. We would be infinitely grateful for any of your assistance to help with immigration and attorney's fees. Help us to show others that 'love knows no borders.'
A little about us...
Carlos was born and raised in Mexico City. He is currently studying exercise science at Utah Valley University and has a passion for learning. He enjoys being physically active, cultural events, and fashion. He has a great love for life and has great ambitions to help others and have a successful career.
I'm Nick! I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am graduated and working in the healthcare field and have a passion for helping others. I love going to the gym, being with my family, going to the movies, and cooking.
We both are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and as many of you know, there is a lot of controversy surrounding the relationships of their members and current LGBT issues. To say things have been rough would be an understatement, but we both have a great love of God and our fellow man. We remain hopeful of what the future brings and despite the pain endured, we love all. It's been said to, "Never waste your pain." We try to reach out to others who may be down-trodden and full of despair and in an empathetic spirit, follow the example of the Savior and lift, encourage, and give hope to those who have none. We've been there.
We were brought together for a reason and hope to have many great and wonderful years together.
