Make Your Own!
Started by: Paul Viola
I have ran short of funds and am seeking immediately $2000 for room and board for this fall.
I am aspiring to be a physician concentrating on the medical issues of musicians - my musical interest is in choral and organ music, as I enjoy singing in choirs, especially church choirs. In order to do that, I have returned to undergraduate school to pursue a second baccalaureate degree (liberal studies with minors in music theory & foreign languages) with an anticipated graduation date of May 2021 at the University of Houston, then I will apply to medical school or a special masters program (SMP) for pre-medical students.
I will use your donations in excess of $1000 to assist with:
1) Room and board for the rest of the year
2) University fees
3) Private lessons on the organ and piano
4) MCAT preparation.
I do plan on taking out federal loans for some of this - assuming I am approved, my actual amount needed will be around $10000 less; nevertheless, the prices listed are the total estimates I anticipate needing for this year. For the following year, I anticipate needing a similar amount.
I am also starting out as a contract salesman of energy plans, so that should relieve some of my needs, in which case I will adjust the numbers as needed. Nevertheless, this year I do not wish to be living in such strange arrangements as the university 24 hour lounge; consequently, I may be overestimating prices for the time being.
You may donate here at Plumfund or at Venmo: @Paul-Viola-6
EDIT: I am not currently enrolled for the fall, as I am seeking full time work so that I can go back to school in the spring. Nevertheless, I still need some money to provide for room and board quickly.
Your $5, $10, $20, $100, or $500 brings me that much closer to my goal of becoming a physician and hopefully, by the grace of God, towards this world becoming a better one in which to live.
