Make Your Own!

My home was built in 1983, and no updates had ever been made to the home when I purchased it 12 years ago. When I moved in, I installed tile floors in the kitchen, dining and living room, and replaced the interior doors, but I have not been able to afford to make any additional improvements. In the current condition of my home, I’m embarrassed to invite anyone over. I’m very excited to get started on this project of updating my home.
I am blessed in many ways! I have my health and the health of my family (3 daughters and their husbands, and my most precious treasures - my six grandchildren). I am very grateful for my job as a staff member at Texas A&M University. Whoop! I make a respectable income; enough to pay my bills but there is nothing left at the end of the month. For many years I worked two jobs. My full-time job supported me and my part-time job paid off debt that I had after my divorce. I lost my part-time job 1-1/2 years ago due to the company downsizing.
Will you reach deep into your heart and consider helping me make my dream of creating a warm and welcoming home a reality? I am taking quite a leap of faith; it is very difficult for me to ask anyone for help. Perhaps this process will be beneficial to me in more ways than one.
I too have always loved to help others when I can. As a way of saying thank you and paying it forward, I plan to use a portion of the funds raised to pay it forward and help someone else in need. Hopefully someone like myself - a hardworking, single woman who is in need of a helping hand. Thank you!
