It's finally time people: Jacob is officially graduating from high school!! We are so proud of Jacob for making the difficult decision to leave Oakland School for the Arts his senior year to pursue a 2-year International Baccalaureate program in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Since his graduation is this Saturday in Bosnia, there isn't really any opportunity to throw a traditional graduation party that most of us experienced when we graduated. So, since we can't put out a box for people to put a $5.49 Hallmark card with some money or a gift card- I decided to put together this fund as a graduation gift for him. The reason I set the goal for $1,000 is because our late mother promised each of her kids $1,000 upon gradution from high school if they stayed away from drugs and alcohol. Jacob held up his end of the deal through what would have been his original graduation date at OSA, just because. There are no words to express how proud of Jacob we are as he closes this chapter of his life and prepares for college at Brown University next fall!!!! I hope this graduation fund provides the opportunity for all of our friends and family around the world to send well wishes in celebration of this huge accomplishment. Thank you all for supporting Jacob along the way, we can't wait to see what he'll accomplish next!
