Can you believe Sienna is a high school graduate?!?
Not only did she just graduate in the National Honors Society... while at the same time she has been taking AP classes in high school, she has also been doubling up and taking college classes through Yavapai college!
Sienna has been a part of the Native American Club through all 4 years of high school and that includes community service. Additionally, Sienna has been in the Upward Bound Math & Science program for first generation Native American kids from the 4-corners region offered through the summers at Northern Arizona University (NAU), earning even more college credit in the process.
Sienna has been working so hard to make college a reality. Because of her hard work, she has applied for and earned enough grants and scholarships to pay for her tuition at Arizona State University (ASU) in Phoenix. She has been accepted into the medical campus at ASU for the nursing program! Sienna wants to help ensure safe passage of new life into this crazy world as a Labor and Delivery Nurse!
Nursing school is hard, and competitive and exhausting. I want to help elevate her necessity to work while in nursing school or at least work full time, by helping to cover as much cost of living Expenses as we possible can. If we could all chip in, we can help Sienna achieve this goal and get her out in our communities helping patients lucky enough to be cared for by her.
Sienna has watched us all diligently move through life and has made very calculated moves in her life to achieve greatness. I have no doubt that she’ll do just that. With or without our help- this girl is going places!
Obviously the $1,000,000 Goal isn’t serious... There isn’t a goal accept to give what we all can, comfortably, to help Sienna out.
This money will go primarily to housing and food. It might also go toward the unexpected expenses of school supplies.
Sienna starts spirit week August 2nd and classes begin August 20th.
Sending lots of love to Sienna and her community during these intense times of learning and growth as human kind.
Kate
