For those of you who know Ana Trinidad, you know she is a truly beautiful life force - a generous and giving person, a driven artist, and a fierce friend.
In her artistic life, she has striven to empower underrepresented voices - working as an artist teacher with New York City schools and afterschool programs, producing works representing communities of color, and developing educational programs that help arts organizations positively impact our society.
Unfortunately, cancer doesn't respect any of these things.
Ana was recently diagnosed with Mucinous carcinoma of the breast - a rare form of invasive ductal carcinoma. Although Mucinous carcinoma can respond well to treatment, Ana has a long and tough road ahead of her, and is facing a host of serious challenges.
We can't cover Ana's work schedule, or protect her from infertility caused by chemotherapy, or shoulder her emotional and psychological burdens - but we CAN help provide some financial support to cover her food, rent, utilities, and medical supplies and care not covered by insurance, to allow her to give her entire self towards fighting this disease, and beating it.
