Ayanna's Comfort Care Fund
Ayanna is. Ayanna is a beautifully strong woman. Ayanna is a loving wife. Ayanna is a loyal friend. Ayanna is a believer of intentions. Ayanna is a die hard Eagles fan. Ayanna is a champion for patients with Breast Cancer. Ayanna is a woman with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer.
Ayanna needs our help. Over 4 years ago, Ayanna was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. She has fought tirelessly from the day she received the devastating news. By her side through it all, her then fiance, now husband, Mike has not waivered. He has devoted himself to making sure she has the life she loves and deserves.
Ayanna was admitted into the hospital after a tough few weeks and is in the process of being moved to a comfort care facility. The facility she has chosen will give her the ability to be with her family, friends, and even her dog.
While insurance will cover a portion of the care she will be receiving, there will be a hefty out of pocket expense to enable her to stay there.
So many of you have reached out and asked what you can do to help. Well, this is your chance. Please donate to help Ayanna maintain the dignity and respect she has fought so hard for others and so deeply deserves herself. Every dollar counts.
We have chosen to use Plumfund instead of other sites because 100% of the money that is donated goes directly to the family for her care.
Ayanna's husband, Mike has asked me to make sure that everyone understands that every penny goes to help Ayanna. If there are funds remaining after her care is covered, they will go to LBBC, Living Beyond Breast Cancer. LBBC is the organization that supported Ayanna, gave her a voice and a vehicle to help others and helped her find her life's purpose.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed and shared this link with others. As most of you know by now, Ayanna succumbed to her disease on Monday night. She was surrounded by loved ones as she had been throughout her journey. The funeral arrangements have been made and the memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 25 at 11 am at the First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia. Please join us to honor Ayanna's legacy and support her friends and family in the grief. I wanted to thank everyone who has contributed so generously to this fund. Ayanna and Mike have been blown away by everyone's generosity and outpouring of love and support. Ayanna is resting comfortably and does not appear to be in any pain, which is the ultimate goal. She has requested that we not have any visitors at this time so she can rest. Please help us honor her wishes by sending your prayers and thoughts and not disturbing them. Please continue to share this page and encourage others to contribute so that we may focus on keeping her comfortable and give Mike the time and space to be with Ayanna and not worry about finances. I will continue to post updates when there is a change. Thank you again for all of your love and support at this difficult time.
